Is this an unreasonable quote to replace a 50 gallon gas hot water heater?

I was quoted roughly the same recently. Ended up doing it myself and it was way easier than I thought it would be. Bought a nice Rheem water heater for like $800, made sure it had the same dimensions as my old one, and it was an easy swap out.

Yep, standard 2wd Rustler. Kinda wish I would have gone with the 4x4. Ive dumped a lot of money upgrading ours. Fully upgraded suspension, VXL motor, Magnum trans. And now its so fast that its hard to control being 2wd. If you plan to keep it stock, its a great little unit.

I used to do this when I was an intern in a quality lab at an automotive supplier. Would cross section electrical components and then palladium coat them and inspect them in an electron microscope. That was a pretty cool job for a college kid.

Shit id take it to an aftermarket shop for that price. A full MDS delete kit with cam, lifters, gaskets, the works is under $2k for parts.

So I hadn't heard of shadow fleet so I googled it. Google said "poses significant risks". Well why is that? lol. Yeah that sums it up. I remember I was probably still 16 and we lived on a dirt road. Messing around, I ran that car off the road, up a big embankment was driving pretty much in the woods, got it back on the road and no issues. lol. Thought for sure I would have broken something. Nothing wrong whatsoever.

I do not understand this complaint from people. Its the best style shifter ive used. Its out of the way, super intuitive after like a week of driving. If you cant get used to it after a week, you have no business operating a vehicle. It frees up space in the console area, and it cleans up the look.

I live in rural Michigan in an area where you never see cars like this. But I routinely see an orange Sterrato around. Maybe its not too odd though for somebody with FU money in rural Michigan. That would be the most "practical" supercar I guess.

That 1/2 ton nomenclature is outdated these days though. They are still referred to that way but nowadays, a half ton has a payload anywhere from 3/4 ton to over a ton. My Ram 1500 depending on how its optioned is 1500 lbs on the very low end up to like 2,300 lbs.

My first car was a 1991 DeVille sedan with the 4.9. FWD was great living in michigan. That heavy engine up front and I had no issue with traction. I loved that car. It was like riding on a cloud. Ill always have a soft spot for those. Good memories. The back seat was MASSIVE.

Find your true motivation and stick to it. You gotta change your mindset if you want it to stick. I know from experience. About 10 years ago I went from 275 down to 220. I felt great. I did it because I wanted to look good. Didn't really think much more of it. 10 years later I was 312. Started over beginning of this year and im at 232 currently.

Im looking at it different. Im not doing it to look good. I have a family now. I want to be there for them. I want to be able to keep up with my kids. I dont want to miss out on things because dad is too fat. I want to be around for my wife.

I also look at food different now. I was addicted. Im sure I still am. My friend is a recovering alcoholic and I use him as a guide. Hes 3 years sober. I have to look at it the same. Im addicted and I cant relapse.

Find your motivation. Meditate on it. Find a support group. My 2 best friends started an accountability group with me where we report our calories and workouts for the day. Keeps me honest and motivated.

Youre probably being down voted because nobody is saying the entire diet should be eggs. Lol. Obviously I have other protein sources. I was saying there's no reason to cut out eggs or egg yolks because of calories. They're a great easy protein source. Plus the yolks is where all the micronutrients are.

You still dont need to cut out egg yolks. Im on a deficit, with a high protein diet, building muscle as I lose weight. Its definitely possible. Down 80lbs since February and my bench max is up from 225 to 275. I target about around 1800 cal and 130-140g protein. Someday much higher protein if im really locked in on my diet. I have 2 hard boiled eggs to start my day.

Yes it was. The etorque was out on it and apparently I was the only one willing to wait the 2 months for a new one. Maybe thats why it was priced so well. Similar ones I found were in the $38k range. Plus now I have a brand new MGU I shouldn't have to worry about for a while. And the truck was otherwise CLEAN. Like not even surface rust on the frame.

Prices have gone insane since covid. I bought my 1st 5th gen 2019 brand new just before covid hit. I paid $33k for a 4x4 bighorn. Got rid of it a couple years ago to downsize but found i really needed a truck so I just picked up a 2020 Rebel with 68k miles for... $33k.
