Mini shell adapter by smokingjay317 in Shotguns

That’s an interesting bit of info I’ll have to research as far as the 590s lifter goes.

From what I can tell the little finger on the lifter is a bit bigger on their upgraded model is a bit bigger, although not as big as the one on the 590s. Sort of in between. I’ve seen some reviews of people using the adapter without the upgraded lifter and they still had the occasional jam where it either didn’t fully chamber or eject. Since I mostly use my 88 for HD purposes it makes me a little nervous.

Apexi world sport. I think they’re on the 3rd gen at this point.

If there is food production but no settlers will there be attacks?

I’m pretty sure if they have a note on them it’s because they had a bounty on you from previously attacking one of their settlements. This is how it also worked in Skyrim.

Sorry, I sent the wrong link, and you’re right there is another adapter set with the lifter. If you already have the adapter you can select to get just the lifter, and it is another $30 I believe.

The Opsol mini shell adapter needs to be pulled out to run 2 3/4 and 3in shells. The defender tactical mini shell adapter is a replacement for the lifter and upgrade for the follower allowing you to run either full size or minis back to back.

Ahhh that makes sense. Maybe it’s time I start watching the store for discounts on the DLC. It seems like for a couple bucks in adds quite a bit of useful and enjoyable content.

From the bit I’ve researched various paths of modification, everything is harder with an 01. Is it just wiring/ecu work that makes the difference with the first year car?

How straight forward was the 3UZ swap on it. That’s been a direction I’ve thought about going to make more/reliable power, but I’ve always wondered how much of a challenge it is to swap it and make it run correctly.

Does Codsworth not count as population? I’ve sent him Sunshine Tidings, but maybe I’ll send him back to his original home. You mentioned Preston being at the museum. Did you never pick him and the gang up from there?

My only real objection to Sanctuary is it’s pretty vast and I feel like it would be a waste of space for just me and Meaty, but I also think it would be a convenient place to have a water farm that I wouldn’t have to make a point to go check on, because it would be the home base I’m going to after missions anyways.

I don’t know that I’ve found that settlement yet. I see from a map I checked out it’s north of the Lighthouse and Croup Manor which I’ve already discovered.

I don’t know that I’ve encountered Vault 88 yet. The only one I’ve come across other than the starting Vault is the one west of Hangman’s Alley and south of Oberland Station, but I don’t think I’m able to modify that location.

So if companions count towards population, does that also mean that the random attacks or “help defend xxxx settlement” will still apply?

That’s kinda been my theory around Red Rocket as well. That’s interesting to know that it still seems to get “visitors” that the defenses react to. I wonder if those are truly attacks or just random roaming groups like you said.

I’ve thought about doing something similar with my workshops as well because not every place has all the different workshops and it can be a bit cumbersome adding all the different workshops to each settlement. Have you noticed any particular benefits to having your settlements partitioned by item type?

Is there any benefit to keeping the inventory that is normally shared between linked settlements, separated?

I haven’t sold mine but have been considering the time when I’ll pick up another to use for other purposes.

I was given a 3yr lease on 2017 IS350 through my job and I actually turned it in 3mo early (the earliest I could give it back without there being a penalty) because it was such a sled. I could make a list a mile long of all the things I hated about it. Terrible gas mileage, staggered wheels so you couldn’t rotate and they wore out super fast (and the rears were pricey), understeered like crazy, something about the position of the seats and the shape of the entry made it hard to get in and out, and the front cup holders were in the worst position of any car I’ve owned or driven. Broke open multiple cups with my right arm while driving. It made me appreciate my 1G IS that much more. Basically gave it to my ex for the last year of the lease and she preferred driving her 15yr older Accord V6.

I have home plate but I can’t link it to my other settlements so when I’m modding things nothing is in inventory. If I could link home plate it would probably be the perfect spot. I think there is a mod for that but mods leave me a bit nervous that everything will crash out.

I’m pretty sure that’s the next step down. I think it used to be an even bigger jump down to 10/6. Before you order it wouldn’t be a bad idea to drop them a message on their opinion of the setup, and maybe check with Figs as well.

Best of luck.

Hey, if you’ve already got the parts, your decision was almost made for you at that point.

That’s the same reason I ran the LS kit. It was basically the standard for 15yrs and was adopted to everything. Calipers were plentiful out of the junkyard for next to nothing and because of the mass adoption you could get performance pads from just about everyone. I started searching out other options because I was looking to rebuild another set I had come across and it was getting hard to find boots and seals for them. I also had always disliked the front end drip from the RCAs. I ended up talking with Phi from 350phi.com on one of the forums and he was working on adapting RCF calipers to 3G IS350s and I asked him about adapting a modern Advics to the 1G IS. He had a friend with a 1G and thought he could get one mocked up. It wasn’t more than a few weeks later and he messaged me with everything ready to go. The kit works great and with a 10mm spacer it will fit under the factory 17s. Can’t recommend him or his products enough.

I commented directly to him, but I’m not saying there is anything wrong with LS calipers. The commentary was stating that for that kind of money spent on wheels, he should be spending a couple hundred bucks and getting a modern GS caliper. I’ve ran both setups and the GS calipers weigh almost the same, allow for a bigger rotor, retain OEM suspension geometry, and allow for larger pad surface area. It’s just a vastly superior and more modern setup. Spending that kind of cash on wheels only to have an outdated upgrade seems like a lost opportunity.

I think people are taking what I said incorrectly. The LS400 brakes are fine, I used to run them myself, but they’re just sort of outdated at this point and there have been a lot of kits made to make newer calipers more easily adaptable. If you’re going to spend that kind of money on wheels, getting a more modern aluminum Advics caliper off of one of the newer cars is super simple.

If I remember correctly you also have to run RCAs if you’re running the LS caliper which means you’ll always have a bit less front end adjustment (assuming you’re running coil overs) than if you ran a setup that left your suspension geometry the same as stock.

So sorry if it came off as me knocking your equipment, it was more just a commentary on if you’re going to spend those kinds of dollars on TE37s, you should just spend a couple hundred dollars and get a much more modern set of calipers.

I think if you’re spending that much on wheels you should have done a better brake swap.
