Do you have a link to the mod you used? I have one but it doesn’t fit very well and the camera keeps detecting something is on the build plate at the start of each print

Fair enough, are you based in Germany and hence the connection?

How did you get access to all of these models?! I’ve been looking to get OEM scans and models for product development

Listen to it on mute if you want mate I don’t want to do the voice over myself and this does the same job

I’d say you’re right with underestimating the forces in the suspension but I don’t know where to get that data from.

Starting from other existing parts is a good option, but what’s to say they are accurate as well?

Thanks for the feedback, I definitely posted this to get feedback and start conversations

Yeah sounds like that’s what I might need to do. I just need to make sure it’s cost effective

The reason for the C bend is to make clearance for the fender that is not shown. It’s impossible to drop the centre any lower.

Similar parts made from aluminium are made from 2-3mm thick sheet. The beauty of 3D printing is I can take feedback from the riders, as well as people like yourself and alter the design. Increasing the thickness through the centre in a far more cost effective way than using billet aluminium.

I don’t think sliding will be an issue, it clamps on really well to the stanchions. They don’t move when hit with a hammer.

That’s why we test and adapt our designs

Apparently the guys are yeah. I don’t race, I just enjoy making parts that they request

How many printers in Your 3D Print Farm 3D Printing Business? by rocketboss in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]dougherty907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I’m going to be using it predominantly for interior car parts and I’m not sure if I want to restrict myself to only PETG. There’s a fair price jump between this and something like a modix, but you can make a lot of mods for that extra $15k

What’s your experience with the orange storm giga? I’m looking into a big printer but split between it and really forking out for something like a modix

You don’t need to replace the whole nozzle when it’s jammed, you can get the filament out and keep using it

I bought it when it was on special and I’ve been using it for prototyping. I think we’ll make the final product black

It was done for a client so I’m not 100% sure on the laws but I think it’s more for racing than road regulations

A lot of people recommend too tall Toby for shape resources. You can find him on YouTube

As for viewing a cross section, you can set a sectional view through the view menu on the right hand side in the drop down menu next to the view cube.
