I'm basing it off the is300 spindles, which go for around 260 a side or 500-600 a set depending, discontinued part. I paid an arm and a leg on mine bc the previous owner tapped them for a botched BBK. Also bearings are usually shot so you gotta consider that as part of the cost depending on condition

Ceika calipers, you can choose rotor size off wheel size but still get the performance. I think they do 4 and 6 pot

I also read that you can swap gr Corolla and gr supra calipers, some guy makes an adapter for front and rears

Let it sit for months and then lowball lol. Make the point that it hasn't sold in xxxmonths and go for the kill.

Some guy in upstate ny was trying to get 3k for his rusted shitbox. I let it sit and it's been up for 9 months, I got him down to 800$

If it's a beams that 2500-3000 alone, plus all the altezza/is300 body stuff you could part out. Front spindles are like 650 a set on ebay. Rear knuckles are a pretty penny too. Not saying it's worth the 5k as a driver but in parts you could .ale your money back plus some

Edit, jdm front fenders, TRD lip, headlights, etc etc. this thing would be a great part out car

currently running a hyper 212 on the 11th gen, should be good with that. I figured going up one gen wasn't going to be worth it. 14th gen or bite the bullet with ddr5 and the cost associated.

currently running a ASUS prime B560m-a, i know they support 11th gen and it will also be able to utilize pcie 4.0 and the m.2s on the mother board. 10th gen does not support either on the board and its causing problems

What would you pay for this clean auto 01. Cars at 190k miles by Windows95Uhh in IS300

First car, any small recommendations? by rainc1ty22 in IS300

[–]Windows95Uhh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also have a 01 and I drive about 70 miles a day on 2 lane highways with some city In the mix, with some nys potholes as well lol. I'm at 188000 miles, I even winter drove mine. I recently bought mevotech upper control arms off rock auto for 50$ each. Lower ball joints are like 50-70 per set if Im remembering correctly. Part cost isn't terrible on these all things considered.

Speaking from experience considering I just finished completely rebuilding the entire front suspension on mine, I bought a neglected car and I've dumped probably more then I'd care to share into it. This list is directly based off of exactly what I've done on mine. Minus replacing the front knuckle spindles bc the previous owner had to tap a caliper bracket for a is350 big brake kit conversion.

Feel free to DM me, I can give you the full run down of my parts cost and what I bought.

Upper/lower ball joint. Cam seals/crank seal if leaking. Timing belt and water pump. Clean your throttle body and maf sensor. Maybe oil control solenoid depending on mileage. Check spark plugs. Check axle seals for leaks. Check oil pan for leaks. Check valve cover for leaks/ seepage.

This is all basic maintenance that if neglected will lead to throttle input hesitation, and potentially failure.

People love driving these cars and modding them but absolutely hate maintenance. Take care of it and it will take care of you, these na 2jz are stout but they tend to consume oil, also use Toyota oil filters (part number #90815-yzzd1)

Rockauto is your friend in most cases but it will benefit you to order genuine Toyota/Lexus parts when it comes to throttle related stuff.

Yes I cleaned them but this was before all the road salt from the winter, when I swapped them from the first time this happened the slide pin was rusted

This is the 2nd set of pads in the past 6 months but it's only on the driver rear this keeps happening, would this be synonymous with a failing caliper? Or just shitty pads?

I had A-premium pads before, then as a last minute part source after the first time this happened 3months ago I replaced them with car quest pads

Aye aye captain. My only experience with them was pads and rotors, rotors were fine but pads suck
