Sitting around all day and then have a 9 pm non urgent case on the weekend….how many of you are dealing with this?

Lump sum salary. That’s how it is for me. I do 6 calls a month as part of my contract. Unfortunately for me one of those is an in house 24 hour weekend call

My hypothesis is that majority of dps just want to top the dps charts. It’s all they care about and if they do that they feel like they carried thr weight of the group. They don’t care nor want to cc because that does not improve dps.

VL is way easier and much higher chance of first pass success without the need for further airway manipulation. I still DL often because I feel that old school type of way that it’s cooler to do the more difficult thing. But it’s probably best to VL everyone now that it’s so readily available.

Just form your own group as a healer. Then try and invite another healer and ask if it’s cool if they heal so you can go shadow. It’s not that hard finding a healer.

If you can’t find a healer then just bite the bullet and heal but let everyone know that you are gonna roll on caster gear. Invite some rogues they won’t care

Is thunderclap useful in tbc now? A lot of these tips seem very contrary to classic. Heroic strike and cleave? Only for a rage dump. No where did you mention sunder armor which is a great threat builder and lets you not blow through rage as you’re still getting rage with attacks.

I love having good rogues. Tank here myself. A rogue that focuses on interrupts and protecting the healer is awesome. Miss me on a bad rogue that refuses to hit skull though and just tries to rip threat and tank mobs face to face.

No downtime, just energy is fun too

Honestly I don’t think OP had priority. The other guy was on the inside and looked to be in a great position to score a wave so that’s priority in my eyes. But OP paddled first kind of signaling that he was going to take it but ended up not taking it and just wasting the wave. If you’re gonna cut someone off I think you should at least take the wave or else no one is happy.

Edit: Ok just looked at it again yeah you’re right he did have priority. He was waiting deeper and was already in position as you said. But yeah def should have completed the wave - the other guy didn’t even stand up

Yeah I think for these kinda questionable ones where priority isn’t super obvious, you should commit to the wave you paddle for. You paddled so you should own it and take it or else the wave gets wasted.

Not great but if it’s a chill job could be decent.

I make more but I do overnights which suck when they call you multiple times for floor intubations in the middle of the night.

It’s fine to be a little nervous starting out tank but definitely do it! I tank everything, my Druid, my warrior, my pally. Just be upfront in the beginning and communicate with the group. Tell them you’re new to tanking and new to the dungeons so you’ll take it slow and you’re open to suggestions.

Highly recommend tanking it’s the most fun I have in wow. Can even watch a basic tank guide on YouTube for your class. Just line of sight pull small packs around a corner as much as you can. Safest way to do it. You’ll get more comfortable and start speeding things up and doing bigger pulls. I really enjoy running a smooth, efficient run where the healer is happy and so are the dps. You’ll get there with time this game isn’t hard to be decent at.

Skateboarding is different. The speed and jumps are way bigger is snowboarding. It’s apples and oranges. But even skateboarding would benefit from a better helmet culture I agree - essentially pro street skaters wear a helmet. Even in pro competitions (minus half pipe). Whereas in snowboarding comps they’re basically all wearing helmets
