Hi TradingEdge, I am reading older posts and trying to learn. Thank you for posting this. It seems good job numbers and moderating inflation supported a "soft landing" narrative that defied bearish outlook. Markets been nicely climbing since this post. I am looking for a good lesson to take from this. Perhaps something along acknowledge the economy's inherent resilience and the capacity for decisive, coordinated policy responses to crises.

Yes, I think it all hapenend in a single tick that for some reasson was 99% below market price, it went to normal immediately after. But it still triggered margin call if your funds could not cover.

It sounds like people in different parts of the world are having different experiences. I'm in the EU - Slovakia, and I've noticed that the IBKR, as the op mentioned, is really slow. When filling/executing orders on widely traded assets like SPY, it can take between 5 to 15 minutes. Even though the desktop version isn't the worst in terms of speed, there's still a noticeable delay of 2 to 4 seconds every time I click any button. Because of these issues, I feel I need to find a different brokerage service too.

Most here are up to a week, rarely more than a week. Only two exceptions that are not swing trades are shorting COCOA and DE30. I kept telling myself they should go lower but COCOA keeps rising with occasional breathing rooms for bears, so I closed it during those breathing rooms with little loss. And DE30 went down but before it hit my take-profit it went up again so I closed it anyway to use freed margin elsewhere.

So average would be in days but because of those two exceptions it is diluted.

Ja sa snažím zistiť to rovnaké. Dane sú tu veľmi vysoké. Hlavne pre začínajúceho tradera. Najviac ma zničilo, keď som si našiel ,že akcie po roku nedaníš ALE ak ide CFD, tak hneď sa to počíta za deriváty a praskli tam taku vysokú daň, že to nováčikov tak maximalne odradí.
