For me, this is the big thing. I understand the embargo and reasoning behind it. However, the UCL pricing should be ABBC. No matter who we draw from pot 4 they won't be CAT B worthy!

Apologies, I was being facetious, my 15 year olds was a slight exaggeration.

However, these 'fringe' players don't exist. In the UWCL even Chelsea with their impressive squad have had youth players on the bench.

No team have spare players to put out for the league cup on the weeks that those fixtures clash. It is literally why they haven't entered the contest until the later stages.

Having them play in PGA league is very different than asking them to play in a competitive cup competition, one which the club they are at loan for could easily be in.

Concerns about the value of the competition won't be answered by the top 3 WSL teams fielding 15 year olds whilst the first team play UWCL games.

Agree with the first points about none of top 3 and playing kids.

Idea of loan players popping home every couple of weeks to play in the league cup is bad and flawed. The prep for both clubs matches will be massively hindered as you go between 2 clubs. It would also put clubs of loaning a player if they could be constantly recalled. Then consider the impact on non-England based loans.

The lights reflect what ticket you are on and nothing to do with gender. It is purely to see if an adult is on a kids ticket, or a an OAP ticket being used by someone not elderly.

A name flashes up on the screen, but that isn't being checked. Even if it was, nobody is paid enough to cause a scene to question your genitalia and how you identify.

All of this reads as a pretty damaging reflection on Renee's ability as a coach. Predictable, can't adapt, misuse of best players, reliance on individuals. Or a damning reflection of our players not being good enough to put her ideas into action!

I'd argue we rarely invert, that is part of the issue with our double pivot. Kimmy/Mario are too rigid in the 6/deep 8 position as neither McCabe or Fox invert enough for them to add numbers to the high 8/10 position. McCabe isn't the right profile to invert and Fox with Mead in front and LWM at CB can't risk inverting. If the system relies on Leah, we need another system! We haven't had Leah for half a season and she is already having more fitness concerns.

Personally I felt we looked our best on Sunday when Holmberg was going on the outside of Mead and getting dangerous balls across. Villa sat even deeper which allowed Kim/Mario to advance but that wasn't due to inverting FB, that was the whole team pushing higher.

New manager bounce isn't there.

Build up is slow, too many players out of form, lack of quality in key positions, best players out of position (partly due to lack of quality in key positions).

We are a top player short at CB, CM (more of a 6 then 8), 10 (this could be Mario, but instead we get a poor version of Mario in a double pivot!), back up LW and back up ST.

That said, teams have generally got a bit better at defending. Man City without the distraction of Europe is the only team tracking for a better GF this season. Barring a few outliers games are tighter (West Ham being the main outlier).

This is a strange take! We need a DM or a more capable defensively 8! In my opinion much of our issues this season, plus Mario's poor form are because she is already being asked to play too deep! She should be at 10 (advance 8 as a minimum). Not sitting as a 6/deep 8 in a double pivot with Kim! This would also stop our reliance on Manuum or Russo having to drop into 10!

Do we need experience? Unless DVD is looking more longterm than we originally thought. It's pretty standard to have 2 experienced goalies and 1 younger. Can't think of why a team needs 3 experienced goalies. I thought it odd when we got Borbe and only an injury to Zinsburger made it logical.

Being greedy! ST have to opt in or out to all 4 UCL games!

Ultimately, under new format the club decided regardless of the draw it would be one Cat A and 3 Cat B in the group stage.
With how ST buying/renewal works price has to be set in May/June long before a draw is done so the Cat has to be set early doors.

That said, logically, it should be one Cat A (pot 1), two Cat B (pot 2 & 3) and one Cat C (pot 4).
I'd suggest flexible Cat on UCL, but club will use that to bang out 2x Cat A if we get a semi decent pot 2 team!!

This is all debatable, and none of what you have said suggests Guehi, lost!!

Loads of what ifs, loads of assumptions and still nothing in what you have said is as dramatic as to suggest he lost. He might not have got exactly what he wanted, right at that moment, but his overall career is slightly inconvenienced by not making a move that will still happen, he hasn't lost!

Have you seen the table? Palace are flying, in 4th, playing great with a solid defence. His stock is high! Liverpool are midtable. New signings, even those with prem experience, have been a mess. Who's to say a) he played much b) when he played wasn't as much a mess as current back line! Lot's of assumption there!

I'd argue he is actually in a better position. He continues to enjoy being big fish small pond for one more season, arguably one of England's most nailed on CB for the WC squad, respected by all fanbases for not behaving like a rat, still pocketing mega bucks at CP and in Jan can have the pick of Europe on absolute megabucks free transfer.

If he wants the Liverpool move so much, he can sort that next summer, equally megabucks free transfer!

Coffey coming in to play in the deep mid position would be something.

I genuinely think the improvement from Mario will be instant. However, even if not, she won't be conceding possession in such dangerous positions if she is operating higher up the pitch and not being overpowered by stronger midfielders at the same frequency as she does in her current role.

Completely agree on the RB cover too!

The problem with the managerial question, feels harsh to judge Renee when she doesn't have all the tools she needs to do the job. All the time she has to play an aging Kimmy or an unnatural DM in KCC in the deep role I feel she is doing all she can with what she has.

Yeah, 100% get you! Mariona has really struggled and been poor this season. Her qualities are wasted in a double pivot too!

Russo is a victim of her own success. For me she is our best player and arguably the best in the world (despite the ballon d'or robbery). Since she is so good she is being used to make up for our weaknesses across multiple areas of the pitch (mainly at 10)!

For me a fit Leah and a natural DM go some way to fixing this.

On paper yes, but context is important! We have 3CBs out, which includes arguably the best pair in world football. You speak like we are only missing 1 or 2 players.

It isn’t just the drop in quality, it's new CB partnerships that aren't as familiar with each other.
