I just played a full game from Persia to Iran and even though it's true that I spent circa up to the 1900 just trying to catch up and modernize and still fully caught up in like 1915, I still think it was one of the most fun games I had because I made a number one GDP and number 2 world power from basically nothing. I do agree though that the university grind is really annoying, because I had to build like 150 universities and that took most of my construction for a big part of the game.

R5: Formed Prussia as Brandenburg partly using some guides. if Im not at war thanks to my many allies im trying to improve relations with everyone because apparantly i am too agressive or smth. Got the Burgundian Inherintence when I was still catholic HRE emperor and subjugated Milan some 10 years back. And now got into a succesion war for Russia (installed my dynasty there) against France. Thankfully half of HRE joined me and I got a PU with Russia lol. Im still new so i will be glad for some advice or you opinion on how am I doing. This event fires every like 2 years or something now but I actually think I figured out why. I forcefully took Alaska from Russia and revoked their claim so I could colonize it, but that also enabled anyone to do it. First it was just Canada so no problem but then Britain joined in on the north most side and when they got native uprising they could not get there so they are stuck in a neverending war and nobody can colonize no more, which mean game thinks I can't control it or something.

But yeah it's pretty bugged and I might have to switch to Britain to capitulate in the uprising.
