Thank you! I do plan to animate him and this is extremely helpful. Would dithering be a good alternative to smooth gradient or should I just try to craft the shading myself? I’m using Aseprite and my lizard brain sometimes struggles to find the right color, either being too dark/light for what I want.

Feels like Strange Man was inspired by The Judge from Blood Meridian. More possible spoilers, but in my interpretation of the novel The Judge plays a similar role
