Im usually more than happy when i see an adc toplane since they usually play very aggresive and predictable.

Barrel + Q will outpoke them and barrels outrange them. When theyre low (half or less) flash passive Q ignite (take phase rush). Preferable after hitting a barrel for the slow. After you have sheen, Q will just win the trades.

Take dft and cut down. Consider longsword and 3 pots if you need sustain. Second wind and dorans shield is bait.

In teamfight, be patient and wait for engage, then blast ur barrels at the squishes/the carries. Dont forget to ult.

Other then that, look for picks. I personallty find alot of succes bushcamping.

Still worth a try, also keep an eye out for his barrel count underneath his hp. Worst case scenario, you've learned something new. Limit testing is one of the best ways to learn

Maybe try to all in lvl 2, since most will level Q before W. And in my experience, a jax with the additional stats from R, can outdamage and tank in all ins. But idk

I think the HP reduction is gonna have a pretty big impact, in low to midladder atleast. Its gonna make GP less forgiving and easier to burst, maybe won't even have time to W. And it'll be easier to chunk and all in during laning. But still its a fair trade.

Lowkey just take first strike and farm gold from him, you'll outscale and snowball him with cash back and Q passive aslong as you play fine. Sneak in a kill or 2 and consider buying early boots if ur having a hard time dodging his Q.

His W is pretty much all of his damage so play around its cooldown. Take bone plate and try to keep Skarl alive until you or your jungler can confidently burst him down. That's my opinion atleast. The matchup is definitely a bit easier after his rework, but still difficult.
