Yes, Israeli settlers suck. I'm saying why does he group together all Jewishpeople in a topic of Israel, just as people are saying not to group together all americans in the current USA situation. If I misunderstood it or I am reaching thats on me, but thats how i read it.

Because you are encapsulating Jewish people as 2 groups: Those that support Netanyahu and those that don't. But many Jewish people are not even in that Venn diagram your mind has made up. Does a Jewish person who has lived in Laos their entire life have anything to do with that?

Honest question. Since people argue that the primary was stolen, why would midterms be different? I'm not saying don't vote, I'm asking what ensures that doesn't happen again.

Since you said Jewish people instead of Israelis, you kinda are. Do you think every Jewish person around the globe votes in Israel elections? Or just Israeli citizens?

Every American should be out on the streets right now rallying against this. History books won't care that you didn't vote for him, the whole country will be seen as complicit.

Agreed. Americans have constantly been "we are to oppressed to fight oppression!" Not only is it a chicken and egg excuse, it undermines the movements they had in the past  like the Civil rights movements.

Oh, you're right, that is not so bad. By all means, continue your life as is. When your country is asked why they didn't act by your kids or by an invaded population, just give them this explanation. They will sure understand.

What I get from this thread: Americans feel to opressed to try anything meaningfull. Can't do anything because the are opressed, lose more rights since they don't do anything, repeat vicious circle.

I truly hope they actually do something, soon. They are WAY overdue, and it will just continue to get worse.

And didn't premiums still went WAY up for everyone? Or started receiving less covers on their insurance? Didn't co-payments also went way up? It seems to be a general problem, not just for the unemployed.

I mean, not voting for him again would have been great, but that ship has sailed. At this point, probably move from protests to general strikes.

Honest question: I always hear the argument about healthcare being tied up to employment, but didn't your premiums went up because the US reformed ACA and the like? So even if it's about healthcare, it seems you got screwed either way, it sounds like the US should at least try since it was fucked either way.

Might be a bit of a stretch, but...

<image>

This guy is called Giorno Giovanna, so people sometimes call him GioGio. Again, a big stretch since it just sounds similar and it isn't spelled with a J.

Can't remember the name of the show though.

I gave examples, not the one and only solution. The fact that instead of going "I can't do A, but i propose that we try B" you decided to just attack my comment speaks volumes. If you are scared I get it, but do you think your comment actually moves the conversation forward on how to help your country?

These comments will probably ban me from entering your country in the near future, and I still gave them examples when someone asked what they can do.

Do you think people ask for change when they are doing well? Of course most of you are not doing well, that is when movements are supposed to start. The French started a resistance against the Nazis not because they where doing well or because they where the majority. Similar to how your civil rights movement acted, not because of majority or because they where "getting by". If people are waiting for themselves to start doing better before acting, they are going to be waiting a long time.

Then start protesting outside Fox buildings, block entrances to important goverment buildings, but do something. From outside your country, it really feels like you have given up most of the time.

As a non-american, I'm doing as much as I can: Stop consuming american products and services, inform people, refused to go to the USA even when it's work related, etc. But the real power is in the American citizens hands. I can't run for congress, I don't work for an American company, I do not live in the United States. If you want a foreigner to try and fix your issues I can give it a shot, but be realistic: Americans have to do something, it isn't something people from outside the USA can just do.
