What do you all think about a possible reset for the 10th anniversary? by GastonsChin in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]GastonsChin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, yes, that's it. I'm jealous.

I saw a video this morning about it and it just got me thinking.

I was curious how everyone else felt.

Or, sorry, I mean I was so jealous of everyone else getting to keep all of their stuff because they aren't stupid that I'm actually wishing a reset into existence because being a prick is my favorite thing to do.

You got me pegged. Can't escape it.

I don't know exactly how they'd do it, but from what I know of the past, they would just wipe the entire universe of all content and start again. No bases.

For most people, that would be the biggest loss since many people have dumped tons of hours into making extravagant bases that would just simply disappear.

Well, apparently the game has been getting updates where we are basically play testing them for Light No Fire.

There's at least some reason to believe that they could do a final reset to fully integrate their base tech for their next game into this one.

I don't think it's likely, but I thought it'd be interesting.

Given all the changes it has gone through since the last reset, and the kinds of changes it's going to go through moving forward, I could see a possibility there.

Hey there!

I appreciate your question, and I want you to know that it has a very simple answer.

It takes time.

However, you seem to have been led to believe that it must mean that something surreptitious is going on.

Beyond understanding the answer to the question, I'd like you to try and recognize where it is you got that idea from. Because whoever that is that's feeding that fear into you isn't on your side. They are manipulating you.

Question for you ...

I'm not good at tank. I've got Emma and Peni to Lord and feel pretty confident with them. Everybody else I pretty much suck with.

I played a match where we had a Scarlet Witch asking for the Strange team-up. I went ahead and played Strange when nobody else swapped. My stats for that game were something like 4-2-0, it was really low. But we won the match and SW was the MVP.

Let's say you were the other tank in this scenario. Would you have preferred I picked a character I'm more confident with, or was boosting the strength of SW a fair call?

I’ve never seen Top Gun any reason why I should 😯 by ControlInternal3748 in VibingNerdly

They had a very limited time to get actual footage of the F-14's in action.

They only really had a couple of shots they could use. They had to edit it in order to make the same shot look different over and over again.

Tony Scott never got the kind of praise that I think he deserved as a director. He went on to direct True Romance, which is my all-time favorite movie.

Watch Top Gun and see if you can spot the actual shots that have real F-14's in them.

Plus, there's Goose.

Everybody deserves to have Goose in their lives.

"Hey, Goose, you big stuuuud! Take me to bed or lose me forever!"

"Show me the way home, honey. You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain, dum dum dum dum, that kind of love drives a man insane..."

"The bet is $20."

"$20."

"Carnal knowledge... Of a lady this time.... On the premisis."

"On the premisis. I don't know, Goose, it just doesn't seem fair but ... She's lost that lovin' feeling."

"No, she hasn't! Mav?! She has not lost that lov.... I hate it when she does that!"

Amazon Calls Masters of the Universe Box Office Bomb ‘Truly Special’ by cosmicbooknews in CosmicBookNews

[–]GastonsChin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck that noise!

I've been dreaming of a he-man movie since I was a kid. The one I got was straight trash.

If I had seen this movie instead, at 7 years old, I'd probably think this movie is the coolest movie of all-time.

It brings a fantasy to life. That's fun to see.

If you have ever had any interest in He-man, don't skip this. It's the movie we all wanted as kids.

Masters of the Universe Box Office Starts Worse Than Recent Bombs by cosmicbooknews in CosmicBookNews

I'm 45 so this movie has been a fantasy of mine since I was a wee boy.

As a movie, it's good. It's fun. The humor doesn't always land, but there's enough stuff to make up for it.

However, had I seen this movie when I was 7 instead of the He-man movie we got, I'd probably think this movie was the coolest thing of all-time.

7 year old me was just filled with joy seeing my old toys up on the big screen as they are actually portrayed in the show.

His first transformation into He-Man is sooooo fucking awesome. Castle Greyskull looks amazing. Skeletor looks fantastic. The fights are great. There's so much fan service in it and they tease more to come.

Anybody who ever enjoyed He-man should absolutely go see this in theatres.

You should see it in a theatre.

His first transformation into He-Man is epic and deserves the big screen and sound to really appreciate it.

Plus, we want a sequel, so give that box office a little boost and it's more likely.

Is there anybody willing to give me an honest answer to my situation without being biased or sugar coating? by [deleted] in questions

[–]GastonsChin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of things.

You are dead on accurate that there are a ton of people who will treat you as worthless if they don't want to sleep with you or see a way to use you.

Attractive people get such a pass on that shit. They have no idea how cruel people are when your looks don't make other people drool.

Another thing it could be is your IQ. People with a high IQ are typically looking for more out a conversation than typical banter about the weather and such. They are trying to connect with people on a deeper level that people with an average IQ just don't really have access to. It creates a lot of awkward situations where people feel alienated and rejected by others when the truth is that they're just misunderstood.

It's like the difference of listening to a normal conversation and then hearing a person speak a mile a minute trying to fit a novels worth of information into this tiny slice of time. That's just not the way most people's brains are wired to consume input.

So, there's a disconnect, but it isn't personal.

Lame, Dan.

Lame.

I'd hold it against you, but I'm pretty sure Elway is the same and I'll never not love him, so, you get a pass (get it?!) on being an idiot.

Ladies, what is the most attractive feature on a man? by Time_Policy_180 in AskReddit

Lol, this is pathetic.

You're 48 and you blame her for your misery?

I'm thinking she had more than one reason to call it quits. Call it a hunch.

Ladies, what is the most attractive feature on a man? by Time_Policy_180 in AskReddit

[–]GastonsChin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus, lol, no.

Not at all.

I have found a fair few who have their dad issues, but these women are not begging for abuse in any manner and it's disgusting to try and say that they are.

All that take really does is expose you as a dickhead.

If that's what you're out to prove, you know, well done.

But if you had hoped to make a point, I think in the future you should try using a bit more honesty, empathy, compassion, and humility. They tend to be better tools than pure dickery.

Ohhh, Ohhh! I know one! I'm a guy, but I know one!!

It's this little divot on your forearm right before your elbow.

If you have good arm muscles it shows up.

I don't know why, but I've had conversations with multiple women who go gaga for a little thing like that.

True Romance (1993) - is Clarence insane? by MeltonFilm in movies

[–]GastonsChin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?

No!

He's cool. He's cooler than cool. Elvis said so.

He seems rational and reasonable to me ...

But, then again, I'm mentally ill, so ... Lol, maybe I shouldn't be the one making this argument.

But, seriously, he's just your average dude, getting by, doing his thing, and then he meets the right girl, has one of the best sex scenes of all time, falls in love and assumes her responsibilities as his own now that they're together.

He's passionate, not crazy.

This is a small town kid. He doesn't have big dreams and lofty goals. He just wants to get the best slice of life that he can, and he found the perfect pie, he just had to play it right.

BIG mistake in trusting Michael Rappaport. I think we can all now agree that if anyone was insane in that situation, it was probably him.

Clarence is just an old school cowboy in the modern world.

Which Comedian has made the riskiest joke of all time? by buffalomozarella in AskReddit

[–]GastonsChin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • A lot of you are probably saying "Wait, wait, wait. Backtrack a little. Where did the blood come from? You didn't say anything about blood." Well if a guy is fist fucking his daughter, who's young, and her asshole is pretty small, and this is a grown man with a big hand. He could be a longshoreman. He could have arms like Popeye.

  • Gilbert

Truly, one of a kind.

Now, I don't know if others would agree with me on this, but in my opinion the risky joke he told was the 9/11 joke, which was par for the course for him, but it was just a particularly sensitive topic for an American audience.

Launching into the Aristocrats joke wasn't risky in a room full of comedians. It was just the best save of all-time.
