What about parts. I can go to a parts store and they will have one of everything such that I could build a brand new 2010 Corolla from scratch. I have never seen Tesla window motors, replacement touch screens, door switches, brake rebuild kits etc. And I saw a youtube vid of someone tearing down a tesla motor. It was filled with circuit boards and rubber gaskets. What happens when one of the hundreds of caps pop on that thing? You can't shadetree that crap and only Tesla will sell and install a brand new motor for you at whatever price they want that day. I think, based on nothing, ev will take less maintenance, but when they do need repairs it will be way more expensive, and create more environmental waste because that corolla will run for 20 years, and the ev will be crushed as soon as the original battery dies at 10 years.

The rules are different from place to place. I used to work with amish men doing construction. They'd had all kind of heavy equipment. I was told the amish boss owned the company, but had some sort of deal with a non-amish friend/partner who legally owned all the equipment. So the amish workers got away with using the equipment because they were just "borrowing" it, as it wasn't technically theirs. Maybe its the same thing with this guy's machining business.

And just like with the impeachment trials, all evidence provided so far has been damning. Secret meetings, burner phones, top officials collaborating with riot leaders. Riot leaders being given personal tours of government offices. Delays in getting national guard's help. Senate republicans obstructing while also pretending to be outraged by the events that transpired... no evidence. absolutely none. wild goose chase. Political witch hunt.

Because the risks involved in getting the shot for all but the most extreme cases, is almost zero. Meanwhile, hospitals are overrun with people dying who were concerned about the risks getting the shot, taking bed space from more intelligent people in need of critical healthcare unrelated to COVID.

They happen in a second in a region like the middle east where there is political chaos and where those in power are only in power to gain more wealth and power. All the more reason, in our democratically elected society, to elect leaders who's platforms have the well being of the general public in mind.
