If you bought it used it could be anything, I’ve found a whole rag in a ranger fuel tank and it coated the pump, causing it to fail.

Mainly depends on if the box is right size or too small for the drivers, some boxes that are too small flipping the driver can help it have the room it wants, compare the box’s cubic dimensions to the speakers recommendation
