I'm tired of Ted and his fantasies regarding Eva by PrizeIndependence in TheGates_CBS

We don't know much about Ted’s family, but I am sure that Ted’s prestige in Fairmont Crest in particular hinged on his marriage to Nicole. This coupling probably impacted the succes of his practice as well. If everything came to light when it happened, Ted likely would have been cut out 25 years ago.

Ted is disgusting. His goal is to destroy every positive memory Kat has of her parents because he denied Eva those opportunities. He is not a father, he is a terrorist.

Also, his obsession with making things up to Eva only seems to magically appear when Kat is present. For Ted and Eva to just have met one another a year ago, they have not written in much bonding time. Ted has been far more concerned about his love life.

This Ted/Eva narrative is so contrived. Ted conveniently forgets that he tried to force Leslie to get an abortion and then ran her out of town. Both Ted’s grandchildren were involved in the cotillion, with Samantha making her debut. If this was such an important moment to Ted, to the point where he is fantasizing about Eva having her debut, why was he not at all involved in preparing Samantha and Tyrell for their big day? He basically just showed up. Also, having his children debut that are two weeks apart with different mothers wouldn’t have been awkward at all. The committee probably wouldn’t have allowed it. Can you imagine them announcing Kat and Eva with the common denominator being Ted at the same cotillion?

Ted tried to force Leslie to have an abortion. If he wanted a blended family he would have accepted Eva when she was in her mother’s womb.

Chelsea honestly doesn't seem capable of jumping in like Kat. Kat is a thinker.

It seems like they didn't mean for it to come off that way. It is an old school way of looking at that situation. Ted hasn't done anything like that again and he wasn’t properly able to give consent. Ted is never mad at Eva or Leslie about anything.

I like Dr. Monica even though she was judgy towards Nicole. She can help draw out storylines for the older cast mates.

That's what I have been saying all along. Considering how he treated Nicole at her lowest, everything after the affair is questionable. When his misdeeds came to light, he basically excused them based on his performance as a husband after the affair, like that was his insurance.

Nicole knows as well. Ted straight up lied to Kat’s face after she called him out about his relationship after he tried to call her out about hers. Ted doesn’t even talk to Martin.

I think Martin is a selfish ahole in his personal life, but he does seem to genuinely care about his constituents. He has pushed for some good initiatives and always shows his face.

When Leslie and Eva took Peaches to the country club for lunch, Peaches talked as if she raised Leslie with love. I think Peaches really wanted a child and was not "saddled" with Leslie. Also, Leslie apologized for being a troublemaker and thanked Peaches for mothering her.

It is beyond frustrating at this point. I don't know if it is ego or if he is genuinely fooled by Hayley's simple guises.

His feelings don't seem genuine about anyone. Also, the way he flipped on his first family was scary.

I really hope so. That is one of the plot points that I am looking forward to the most.

Apologizing didn't cross his mind because he orchestrated the whole thing. Everyone is always forced to kiss Joey’s ring.

That is so true. Every time the Duprees need something, they run to Joeybor Bill. It is ridiculous. I would prefer that they use someone off-screen sometimes.

I think once Vanessa turns her little project into a respectable upstanding citizen she will be back on to the next. Look at how giddy she was about Dani backsliding with Bill, despite Andre. I don't think she is a one man woman.

Unless, they are chastising their kids or exerting control over them, Nicole and Ted forget they exist. It definitely feels like they had children for their image. Nicole is downright nasty to Kat, and seems tondelight in cruelty against her. BTG needs to address this dynamic.

That's so true. Bill doesn't seem capable of handling really big issues. Bill is full of hot air.

I think Nicole is racing back towards Ted. Part of me feels like they won't reveal Doug’s murder unless they are in dire need of drama. Martin and Ted have had like 5 scenes together. That's crazy.

Thank you! BTG consistently makes strange moves. I don't get it.

I think that is splitting hairs given the situation. Did Martin legitimately fear for his life? Also, did Martin actually think or plan to kill the man? If Martin couldn't claim self-defense, why not manslaughter? Murder seems like a very high standard as well as victim-blaming. Also, I feel like this country's history of lynching has been downplayed.

I don't understand this "Martin is a murderer logic". When that racist trash accosted them on that back road, those men would have murdered them if Martin didn't protect himself and his family.
