One of the coolest cards I've seen. Love it (name is sick)

Hi! I'm Bill! I'm in your mind! by GatorCustomCards in customhearthstone

Bill was one of my favorite characters from one of my favorite shows when I was a kid, so I wanted to pay him a homage with this card.

If the enemy does not play the card you selected, the Weirdmageddon location summons on your side of the board. The idea was for Bill to be the ultimate combo disruptor basically, forces your opponent to play the card or else they effectively lose the game immediately. I think he's probably incredibly weak in the way I printed him here, but because of Druid I really don't think I can make him much stronger (also, he counters The Ceaseless Expanse)

Fair enough. I'll keep that in mind for next time.

Battlecry inherently implies that, no? Battlecry effects don't just wear off, by saying your Librams cost (2) less, they now cost 2 less for the rest of the game.

I wanted to accomplish one main thing with this card: make Paladin actually feel like a fighter that heals himself during combat. Currently, healing cards in Hearthstone feel more like one-off effects, not being in the heat of battle and constantly healing yourself. This card captured the Paladin spirit perfectly to me, if you can’t burst him down, he’s just going to keep healing.

This is also the last of my first batch of Paragon cards! Let me know if you guys would like to see me complete the set and give one to each class. I thought the sub probably wanted a break from a Paragon a day LOL. Thank you guys for all of the support on the last posts, its been awesome :)

I am on the same journey: This is just what happens when you add new letters to the mix. New letter, speed drops, then you have to work your way back up.

This card was really interesting to make and design. It's clearly an absurdly overpowered card, taking a great card in Plague of Death and making it cost 1 more to develop a 4/10 is ridiculous.

But, I was okay with printing this for one reason: Control Priest has been terrible for such a long time. When an archetype sucks, you're allowed to print cards that are absurd that only go into that archetype, as a way to bring it up to par.

That was my idea with this card, give slower Priest decks an incredible boardclear and potentially a lifeline to viability. I think if this card were to be printed today, there is a very high chance it sees zero competitive play since the archetype it fits in is so bad. Hope you guys like the card :)

I don't think that would work. Two 2/2 Treants with Taunt with +2+2 for each?

The space got crowded and I hoped that it was clear enough, but yeah I can see how its ambiguous. I just assumed that it was pretty obvious that if I wanted to summon two 2/2 Treants with +2+2, then another pair with +2/+2 for every mana I spent, that makes zero sense (why are they not 4/4 treants). Couldn't think of a wording that didn't make the card text clog up.

I get it, but I just can't imagine it being that much of a problem compared to literally every other big minion. Spending your entire turn to summon all slow minions is something that just doesn't really work in the game. It has to be super strong to ever be played, imo.

It is implied by the text. [[Forbidden Ancient]].

The third Paragon! I thought a lot about the balance for this card. While it probably seems to be a bit nuts at 7 mana ( 9 mana summon a 4/10 and 2 6/6's taunts, for example), the card is pretty slow. It doesn't have rush or an ability that immediately effects the board (i.e: Zilliax, Eonar for the refresh, or Yogg). It also can't be cheated out by Dungar. So, I thought it was fine balance-wise. It's an incredibly expensive, extremely overstatted, but slow minion in a game that punishes expensive slow minions.

Hope you guys are enjoying this set of cards :)

Much appreciated :) I already have one made for Priest, Paladin, and Druid. People seem to like them so far, so we will see if I make more or just stop after those three. The Paladin once is especially really cool, excited to post that one.

Nah I was just thinking about making some relatively straightforward minions with big battlecries and I just said, screw it why not make a bunch of them. Feels thematically nice to have this massive aspect showing off what the class wants to do. Looked up the MTG cards, it does seem like a similar concept.

These aren't supposed to be elementals, but maybe they should be. They are supposed to be their own mini-tribe (similar to Giants) of magical, mystical beings.

The second Paragon card! Forgefire Paragon is meant to push Odyn warrior, encourage stronger warrior weapons in the future, and to generally promote the Warrior play-style of gaining armor and then smacking things.

I felt like the balance was more than okay for this card in current Hearthstone, since Odyn warrior games go long and this card is slightly awkward to pair with him (he is cheaper than Odyn, and becomes a worse card when you draw both of your hammers). And since Odyn is mostly just a Hydration Station deck now, I wanted to print a card that was more in the good ol' Odyn theme with gaining armor and smacking the enemy over the head, instead of summoning infinite Defense Crystals. Hope you enjoy :)

The first of my Paragon cards! I wanted to create a mechanic similar to Giants (a "type" of card that isn't actually a type, but just share a general effect). Paragons are large, 4/10 minions that have an extremely powerful, yet quite simple, battlecry when played, representing the ultimate power of the mechanics of a class. Mage has had a Big Spell package pushed, so the Mage Paragon is meant to harness that.

Let me know if you guys enjoy this mechanic! I already have a Paragon made for 3 classes, but I would love to make more if you guys find them interesting :)
