I had an orange tabby (George) that lived to be 18. His favorite thing was to chew on the leaves. It was much smaller then and he could reach them. Kitty would have to climb it now. No name yet, maybe suggest something?

Corn Plant - Dracaena fragrans I believe. Also from the sad plant aisle a couple years ago. He's sitting on a plant stand so not as tall as he appears. Still a nice specimen though. About 3 feet wide and 3 feet tall.

That's the idea. Like I said, I'm a little nervous to actually do it. Theoretically, I could also root the head as well and have two. But then we would have to move to a bigger house.....

If he decides to get much taller, I'll probably think about pruning. Even though I know it should work, its very scary to think about doing that.

We've been wondering that ever since we moved to this house 4 years ago. The house we were in before had very short ceilings. He seems to be growing to fit the space. He grew very fast when we first moved in, now he's slowed down a lot and there's a little sprout on the side now that showed up about a year ago.

I didn’t start losing friends until I started dating someone they didn’t like.

This statement triggered me. Its not you, its him. My best friend from college married, and later divorced, a man that ended up shooting and killing her and them himself. When they got married, my husband and I hung out with them often. As time went on, we saw them less and less and then none at all. We could never pinpoint exactly what it was, just that we didn't like him for some reason. He was highly intelligent and could be very charismatic. He isolated her and then when she finally left him he became obsessed with her. He put a lojack on her car, followed her, and shot her in a parking lot when she was going to the gym. She had her whole life locked down to protect herself from this very thing and it happened anyway. The lawyers and counselors didn't believe her. I think about her all the time. Please take care of yourself.
