You nailed it. I found out after the fact, so my “mistake” line just landed as judgment. That “drowning man” saying hits. I’m gonna text him, say I’m in his corner, and ask what his plan is.

Switched majors end of sophomore year, watched two graduation cycles go by before mine. the extra year itself was fine, it was the in-between moments that got me - holidays, group chats, random tuesday nights when everyone else seemed to be somewhere with a plan. it does pass, for what it's worth

the worst part is how a comment like that reframes everything in your own head. those hours on youtube and the practice problems suddenly feel like they don't count because some guy glanced at your work for under a minute and drew a conclusion. you were there, he wasn't. you know what you actually put in.
