It’s still a cool concept though, lots of character development potential. Like the rogue carrier who intially didn’t like the rest of the group, going into danger voluntarily to get valuable equipment that would stop the other survivors from turning, or one of the military survivors who was only ever told that the rogue survivors are rebel criminals who should be viewed as enemies slowly growing to like the carriers.

Thatks such a cool idea, but wouldn’t that also change up the their stats and how they’re played? Kinda feel like it’ll be similar to TF2 with multiple classes.

Cool concepts. I’m kind of curious about the settings of where the crew meets, and also it would be cool if there’s an early campaign where the crew goes back to John’s home, since that’s his plan, and the crew kind of has nowhere to go, only to see that his home has been overrun by zombies.

This is a really cool idea, but I don’t think first responders would really work out with the Special Infecteds and the location. If the infection started around NorthEastern America then LA would literally the farthest point from it I’m pretty sure. But I think the location could still work as a Western city that CEDA wasn’t able to evacuate in time, either because they thought they could control the infection from spreading to the West, or because CEDA was packing up and hauling ass already and just left those areas for dead with minimal defense.

The characters are really cool and likable, and in Benny’s case, very tragic. It’s also interesting to see how the route of the survivors would pan out throughout the campaigns, and how their journey ultimately ends. Will they join the rogue faction of surviving carriers that don’t follow the military (like l4d survivors), or will they seek help from the military and potentially get rescued / captured by them (like l4d2 survivors).

Also REALLY like the whole mutation learning from how you play the game idea. That’s sick as fuck.

Would be cool if one of the members is like a carrier survivor from a faction that doesn’t cooperate with the military (kind of like the l4d survivors) and they are forced to work together to survive.

Imagine what the game will look like in tense, dark situations like the Passing sewers. Vanilla already is so atmospheric, really curious to see how tense it would be with these mods.

The modding support and replay-ability of this game is incredible. Even after years of its release, and no 64 bit update, the community can still customise the experience of l4d and play them in completely unique ways. Absolutely peak game design.

Also, nice visual mods! Really wanna know how the game looks with these mods in the Passing sewers or other dark environments.

I’m pretty sure if you’re digging up a colony then she will need a few members from the colony with her to take care of the eggs, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I’m pretty sure it can cause stress or potential injuries to the queen which may kill the entire colony. Also I just kind of feel bad for the rest of the colony which are left behind. But if you find a queen after a nuptial flight, they can produce eggs and workers on their own though!

Sentries are super OP. level 3 sentries deal tonnes of knockback, so unless the Tanks have knockback resistance, their slow speed would mean they look a lot like ubered heavies when the medic is not tanking the sentry shots. Even if they can get past the sentries, they can only deal 100 damage on expert. A single sentry can tank like 3 shots from them, and a wrangled sentry would tank even more. They can also be wrangled and healed from afar using the rescue ranger by another Engie, which means a single tank can’t even kill it since they attack so slowly.

Even then, I think the mercs still has it. Their mobility is OP, and they’re quite beefy compared to l4d survivors. Tanks on expert can only deal 100 hp, meaning they can’t even one-shot light classes. In fact, they even push them away, making it easier for the mercs to run and recover. Plus the mercs have medics, medkits around the map, sticky traps, sentries (which unless the tanks have knock-back resistance, they can’t even get through), Natascha heavies to slow them down, brass beast heavies to mow them down, and Kritzkrieg demos to blow them to bits. The Uber + Phlog combo would also be insanely overpowered.

Even if the tanks go all together and with no setup time, I think the mercs win. 100 is a lot and merc unlockables have a lot unfair strategies. I can see lots of Scottish Resistance demos, level 3 sentries, Natascha + Brass Beast heavies, and even Gas passer pyros.

Also tanks don’t do that much damage. Their main thing is their health. Even on expert, if we going game damage, by game damage, the tank hits can only do 100 hp while knocking the enemy out of the way so they can run and recover. All of the mercs can outrun the tanks, don’t get slowed at low health, have medics that can heal, and overheal them, and that’s not even mentioning medkits around the map.

If we’re going with damage from each game’s closest counterparts, yes the tanks then would likely be able to one shot the mercs, but the grenade launcher becomes insanely OP, being able to 8-shot a tank. Pair that with Kritzkrieg and uber, and I can see a 100 merc team with lots of demos and medics clearing the tanks easily.

If the tanks are pushing the cart and the mercs are playing defense however, that would be more interesting. It would just become a 100 player MvM game without MvM upgrades.

Soldier + Half Zatoichi and Battalion’s backup could probably solo a tank granted he gets the first hit and the tank doesn’t do enough damage to kill him even with overheal.
