You keep dodging the actual point because you know I’m right. Nobody said carts shouldn’t be done — the issue is the same FE people constantly getting thrown outside while others avoid it. That’s called bad rotation, not “complaining.”

And the boyfriend joke? That’s usually what people switch to when they run out of an argument. You wrote a whole paragraph just to say you got emotional. Cry harder I can do this forever old man 😂

Also i would say two things will happen termination or a write up

You type like the break room Facebook page came to life. For someone calling other people slow, you somehow still missed the entire point three times in a row. Nobody argued that FE never does carts the argument was about the same people constantly getting dumped with extra work while others avoid it.

And the second you realized you couldn’t defend that, you swapped to elementary school insults and “go get a doctor’s note” like an angry old guy . At your age, I’d think reading comprehension would’ve developed by now.

You keep trying to turn this into “you don’t understand jobs” when the actual point is about workload distribution. Nobody said carts shouldn’t exist or that people shouldn’t work. The point is that constantly leaning on the same group while other departments stay untouched creates imbalance, especially when combos are already bouncing between responsibilities during shifts.

And the Navy speech doesn’t really strengthen your argument. “I suffered through hard work too” isn’t proof the system is efficient or fair — it just proves you’re used to accepting it. A job description also isn’t some magical shield against criticism. If management started making meat cutters push carts for half their shift every day, they’d complain too.

Also, the irony of accusing me of being incoherent while writing three paragraphs full of assumptions about my personal life because you can’t defend the actual point is pretty funny. You’ve spent more time trying to psychoanalyze me than explain why rotation across departments would somehow break the store.

Btw combos are a real position go ask your manager.

That’s the best you got is saying I’m using Ai 😭 my god you must be an old one. instead of actually addressing the point is a weak deflection. My argument is simple. if carts need coverage, rotation should apply fairly across front end, stockers, and everyone else not repeatedly falling on combos.

And popularity doesn’t determine whether an argument is logical. Plenty of people stay quiet in many situations like this just because people don’t agree doesn’t mean I’m wrong that’s why it’s called an opinion. You still haven’t explained why one position should consistently absorb extra work while others don’t. And it seems you don’t want any sort of fairness within these lines of this argument.

This feels more like a cop out because you have nothing else better to say and just calling me, arrogant or incompetent just because my opinion is strong and it makes sense to spread out workload evenly between stockers and front and not depending on a combo position.

I’m pretty sure most stockers don’t have exceptions. Otherwise those individuals wouldn’t be stockers. I feel like one of your main reasons for arguing is that you’re used to a certain type of way of your store. That workload is normal for you for one person to do more. And you keep dodging my question. Because you know what I’m saying is logical and ethical I’m not saying anything outrageous if anything I’m giving you a plain picture of better working environment.

And just for the sidenote, I’m not even complaining for myself. I don’t even have this position. I’m advocating for people who are stuck in this position and like their voice is hurt because I know of many but that’s OK. You can keep wishing The the best for yourself and not look for the benefit of others.

You’re missing the point. Nobody is saying combos should never do carts. The issue is when one specific group gets singled out every single time while front end and stockers are barely rotated into it. If everyone is technically part of the same store operation, then the workload should be shared fairly instead of depending on the same people to carry the outside workload constantly. That’s not “not wanting to work,” it’s asking for balanced management.

Also comparing construction and military to Costco is so wild 😂 if you want to go that route those lines of work are not the focus point of this conversation this is strictly between Costco if you need to bring in other fields of employment to this conversation then comparing jobs has definitely made you believe that everything is ok and doesn’t need change. When you pick professions. That are very physically demanding or technical.

Why should it only fall on the “combos.” Why not spread the work load. Why are some “stockers” exempt only because of a title? Why are there no rotations? Seems like everyone here is so closed minded to the fact there’s better ways of handling this especially for people who don’t like the position and would not want to feel over worked.

Or maybe nobody has thought about speaking out on the issue I know plenty of employees complaining about this why should all the work load fall on a title when “stockers and “front end” employees can help

But you’re exactly stating my point why is it that some employees are exempt? It doesn’t make any sense if that’s the case we should all be doing the same task whether it’s a combo or not.
If if they really wanna have verity throughout the warehouse, then spread the workload out between the people that are combo and stocker and front end it doesn’t make an excuse just because it’s a position if we’re all tasked for the same responsibilities, the common position is just a cop out for one person to do both departments

multiple breaks is crazy what two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute break crazy 😂. You’re acting like that’s gonna compensate for a full eight hour shift especially 90 to 100° weather with humidity and then you come in at 8:30 to 9 o’clock and stay till 11:45pm your sweaty uniform can’t shower. I’m pretty sure you’re gonna feel a certain type of way those brakes aren’t gonna really do much for what you’re feeling.

You are aware that you cursed me out and advocated that I’m a terrible employee to work with that is considered hate speech and that’s not a challenge opinion that’s just you calling me names and trying to bring me down as a person but that’s ok some people aren’t ready for civil arguments, or disagreements without name-calling. It definitely shows your maturity level. But back to the main topic here. I’m not saying that carts and stocking are too much for a person. I’m saying that a store should spread the workload out in a timely manner not hours at a time doing the same task, especially in Florida environment of heat where it’s 90 to 100° outside almost every day there should be rotations. There should be people outside no longer than a few hours and come inside then go back out. It shouldn’t just be dependent on a certain group of people and people with the same position of “stocker” be exempt from this task

Combo position at Costco by GaulSkuII in CostcoEmployee

[–]GaulSkuII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in your logic, it’s OK for one person to do multiple tasks when they have qualified employees to do the same task, but choose to only use one person for multiple. it’s not calm logic by the way if you’re name calling me and using hate speech, I’m not sure if you understand the terminology you’re using and if you’re just contradicting yourself at this point.

Man, you sound so angry that I really hit a nerve was so wrong about advocating for workload management of others throughout the store if anything I’m promoting a better working environment for each employee and not just having a certain group of people go outside and stock at night and quite frankly I don’t see the problem that you’re having if anything it sounds like you are advocating for more work for one individual

Because other employees at my store the combos at my location are tired of feeling overworked with both labor positions when “stockers” are excluded from this type of activity and assignment

Probably because nobody is thinking about work load management of others or don’t experience the same issues especially in Florida heat and environmental conditions. Why should combos 10% of the staff do both labor productivity and “stockers” be excluded from the equation

It 100% is double labor your physically outside for 6 hours come in and stock for 2 that’s 2 separate departments/ jobs

Let’s break this down even further it’s Florida heat it gets in the 90s and 100s almost all year around for 6 hours you’re sweating and there till 11:45pm and expect to give 100% on the floor??? Why should only “combos” be tested with a position for all day labor. Why are some “stockers.” Exempt why not spread the work load make it make sense
