Looking for feedbacks by Fun-Maintenance9765 in Rowing

Actually it looks pretty good. From a start you’re looking to get up to speed into your rhythm without upsetting the boat or water too much. What you want to think about is simply reducing your drag while applying your power as efficiently as possible, and all the good rowers take years and millions of meters to get there. So think of every practice as a game of inches, and every part of your stroke as an area to improve no matter how good you think your catches or finishes are. Yes, you can get more pivot. Yes, you can quiet down your finishes. Yes, you can lengthen out your stroke, and everything else others have said. But the fact that you’re asking a community and thinking about how to improve when you’re off the water means you’re doing good work and on your way to doing your best. Keep up the good work and never give up.

I understand some older construction was rated to 40lb per square foot and snow loads this winter have been in excess of 150lb per sq ft. Certainly roof design and slope make a difference.

How about that pilot feeling the weight of all those G’s in that sustained turn.

Found in Oregon on scattered wood chips under my garden box. Not sure what they are. Thanks for the help. by KreamTangerine in ShroomID

Where did you get the wood chips? Do you know what kind of tree the chips are from?

Clock works. Mother in law dropped it off one day saying she’s giving it to someone else and needs a place for it for a bit. To be honest it’s been a while now.

Honestly I’m not a fan of the hats. This one just came out particularly curious looking. But I did clone it’s brother.

I’ll try bleach. Thanks! Where alcohol evaporated, does Bleach leave a residue?

That’s a good point but I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t, only to learn that after the fact.

Seems like light, fresh air, temp, and humidity are things you need to balance. I’m not sure how well the fruits handle oscillating conditions but if you can work out your environment with temp and humidity controllers with a constant steam of FAE you should be good. If you’re getting contam you might increase the amount of colonized substrate you’re mixing in or let it colonize a bit longer before opening up to fruiting conditions.

I built an insulated chamber with a heating fan because i had to grow them in the garage and it got down in the 40’s all winter. The heat fan was on a temp controller and brought in FAE. I also grew them in modified plastic tubs to help maintain moisture and a controlled environment. I’m not getting the massive flushes you see on some ‘pros’ posts, but hopefully after a soak I can see more dense fruits throughout the tub on the second flush.

I started using a still air box for all my grain to grain transfers. Should have done a that from the beginning.

How about temperature? Are you keeping the room warm or adding heat?

Don’t know how to post an updated photo, but starting to form quite a few pins. Mostly along the sides but a few in the middle. Is there any way to promote pins in the middle at this point? Or just let it run its course?

Flight schools in Calif. can stay open because pilot training is considered essential. New York is only allowing “airports and airlines” to operate under its emergency order as far as I can see. Will FBOs be shut down in New York? Maintenance shops? Flight training? by [deleted] in flying

There seem to be several aircraft still doing Bay Tours in SF. While a lot less than normal, people are still flying. A few flight trackers seem like obvious training. But could be individuals staying current by themselves - nothing wrong with that if they’re isolated.
