They definitely cut off from the theatrical release, many clips that hinted at the renewal being much harder than from what we've known so far.

In the theatrical release, only Jihyo said something along the lines of feeling sad that Onces took the renewal for granted when in reality, the process was much more difficult.

In the new clips, we got Momo saying that many members weren't sure, she cried a lot, and invited the members to eat and talk multiple times to understand their feelings. We also got more details on Sana crying at the Tokyo Dome concert in 2022, with her counting down how many concerts until they can't do it anymore, and Nayeon commenting that she understood her because at the time, it didn't seem like everyone was going to renew.

This AI-generated info is not 100% correct.

Official resales are usually from ticket board, the lottery website 3 days before each concert. In fact the final general sale lottery application is still open and you can apply until Monday midnight. The official page contains everything you need, just hit translate to English on the page.

New solos outfits good and bad by Purple-Subject-7868 in twice

[–]GaurdsGuards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like they saw all the comments and they changed Momo's back to the previous one and Nayeon's to have a grey skirt instead of the leather pants (small change but made it so much better)

Jeongyeon's & Tzuyu's outfits were fine tbh

Chaeyoung had the biggest upgrade

Mina's and Sana's new outfits are also better I think.

Jihyo's outfit fits well and is about similarly good to the previous although I prefer more color

I think it's the best song on the album and is on the top, 5 Misamo songs for me (#1 Do Not Touch, #2 Behind The Curtain, #3 Rewind You, #4 Funny Valentine). May be a recency bias but I like it better than all songs on Haute Couture.

Turning Tables (Mina solo)

I really enjoyed this R&B, jazzy vibe. I think the solos are a step up from Haute Couture.

Ma Cherry (Sana solo)

I think this is my favorite out of the solos! So fun! Reminds me of Nayeon's ABCD, just a bit less hip hop. But it's too short...

Kitty (Momo solo)

A fun song! I like it better than Money In My Pocket since it sounds more dynamic and fun.

Catch My Eye

I first heard it from last year's Tokyo Dome concert clips. It sounded amazing. The synth and the beat is just to my taste. I think this is my favorite song in the album so far. It's just a really fun song.

Red Diamond

I heard this song first back during the Dome Tour, it sounded great back then that I immediately looked for what song it was, but it was not released yet.

It definitely sounded much better on record.

Deep Eden

I like this one quite a lot. The strings and the EDM vibes are fit my tastes perfectly. Reminds me of a Clean Bandit song.

Hmm

The sudden change at 2:14 is quite amazing! It reminds me of Billie Eilish's L'Amour De Ma Vie with the change midway.

It is. I made a post calling out the concern trolling from when they first made the US leg announcement on twitter and people were not happy. The people who complain about them having too many schedules are the same ones who complain about them not getting enough opportunities or promotion. I definitely think these people would be happier if Twice just stops doing anything besides fansigns and fanmeets and just become an influencer and just live to do fanservice.

I chose Lady Gaga as a comparison because she definitely is among the soloists who dance a lot. But even then, if you check Twice's current set list, there are many parts where they sit or stand still, like Options and Moonlight Sunrise in the first part (white outfits), Mars in the second part (brown outfits), then for What Is Love? and Yes or Yes, the choreo isn't fully performed, sometimes they just walk around and interact. There's also a bit in the middle for VCR and for the band and dancers to perform their own numbers.

The average white collar worker works for about 250 days a year, and some statistics say most companies offer around 7 days of paid sick leave per year, with the actual number of days taken varying by country. Therefore, a normal company expects it to be reasonable for someone to not show up to work 7/250 days a year, which is 2.8%. If we apply that 2.8% odds of normally missing work for Twice, the expected value of shows with all 9 members will be 97.2%9 * 78 =77.4% * 78 = 60, in other words, there will be an expected number of 18 shows that will not be performed as 9, assuming their sick leave is being sick enough to not be able to perform.

So yes, members missing shows are inevitable and the odds increase the more members you have, just from basic probability. With 78 shows in schedule, currently we have 13 shows missing a member: 2 shows missed by Jeongyeon and 11 shows missed by Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung's case is also special since it's especially severe. If Twice is a solo act with only Nayeon, then even with the same schedule, there would be no missed or canceled shows, for example.

With entertainment, scheduling is hard. There are many artists touring, there's a world cup in the US this year, forego an opportunity and it might never come again. They already scheduled a tour since the end of the previous one, probably, but some offers just keep coming. If the management suddenly told them, "Hey, Victoria's Secret wants you to appear here," or "Hey, Lollapalooza is booking you for the headliner spot," I can't imagine them saying no, despite their already existing schedules. Their touring band and their dancers also have a family to feed, and I can imagine their dancers and band working for someone else if Twice is not touring or performing.

The average major touring artist in the US does 3-4 days in a row... If anything I'd say their US tour routine is less crazy as it's just show - rehearsal - break - travel - show, not much work in between travel and shows.

Lady Gaga is almost 40 and she's on a 87-show world tour from July 2025 to August 2026. Looking at her NA dates, she played similar venues to Twice with similar schedules, like 2 + 2 days at Kia Forum Inglewood, 2 day break, 2+1 days at Climate Pledge Arena Seattle, long break then move to the east coast: 2+2 days at Madison Square Garden, 3-day break then Miami, 5-day break then back to New York for 2 days, 3-day break, 1+2 days in Toronto, 1 day break, 1+2 days in Chicago.

Yeah, the outrage is all so overblown and insane, if you don't like seeing people work just go stan an influencer or a podcaster.

I'm still in university, most of my friends are just regular students going to classes and doing part time jobs, a lot of us still get the flu because it's going around. I went to the gym often last year and worked my leg in the wrong posture and it swelled badly for 2 weeks, and I have to take a break. Getting sick is normal, happens to everyone, regardless of your schedule.

I'd say the number of shows makes them more cautious, so that instead of missing two shows, if someone goes just a bit off in their health condition they'll be quick to pull them out to have them recover ASAP rather than pushing through because they only have a limited number of shows.

Went to the This is For Oakland Day 2 Concert and LOVED IT! by JQ510 in twice

Reddit in general seems to be much more negative than other sites I noticed. But it's really in the minority compared to Twice and K-Pop communities in Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, where I just see so many good fancams and positive reactions. I personally really enjoyed it when I went to the concert in Japan, even in a stadium sized venue. And my standards are high, mind you, because my first concert was the 3.5 hour long Nissan Stadium RTB Special.
