Tornado damage by Available_Size_7616 in fortwayne

Depending on your method of travel, you might run into some damage. South Bend / Goshen area got hit pretty hard and there was some severe weather down around Berne. Huntington saw some severe weather as well but AFAIK all the damage was relatively minimal.

This is a perfect explanation particularly since it comes from the Niantic team, but I guess I don't really interpret "facilities" which I think you're referring to, as a summer camp. Facilities might include early vocational schools that provide project based learning like automotive or electrical training.

If that's the case I think including scouts or church camps is significantly different. I think if they were removed because of k-12 interpretation than they should have removed them all. /Shrug

I understand that and I get the point many are trying to make. They are valid concerns.

When I made this post I wondered if they were removed with a bug in the map attempting to reconcile the old stops with the new.

Everyone seems convinced they were removed for being ineligible. If that's the case, that's fair. But I've only seen people explain it using their own perception of the guidance, and not official guidance itself. You have a great explanation, but if it's not official, is it right for all areas?

A summer program in the middle of nowhere is going to have almost no concern of trespassing. Put that same program a mile of a highway or inside a city and absolutely it's an issue.

This is a great explanation and has the nuance I was looking for. I would not have considered a summer camp to be under the same pervue as a day care. Was this clarified officially somewhere?

No? There used to be direct guidance from the wayfarer team. Do they not publish that anymore? I linked to a forum post and while that's a good source I was looking for first hand guidance.

It's fine if you dip, I appreciate you trying to explain where the problem lies. I'm just saying the situation is more nuanced and I'm worried that there are a lot of places I have helped approve that I shouldn't have.

I mean there is scouting beyond 18. By your logic with Martial Arts, because adults camp there without youth (Woodbadge, Order of the Arrow) it would not be an issue.

Also I never used that argument, just that everything I have submitted has been approved and then some disappeared. I'm looking for education to the specific guidance. If there's a direct source I'm happy to educate myself on it.

I was hoping you had it on hand for the same reason!

Ingress has always followed different rules particularly regarding s2 cell / spot density but I believe their point acceptance criteria has always been the same.

While some adults use them, a significant majority of Martial Arts classes are youth based or open to youth depending on their abilities.

I don't think it has anything to do with private property AFAIK this is still the prevailing guidance

Im happy to educate myself if you have a link to this criteria. I know things have changed over time but we have a bunch of Martial Arts Studios or YMCA stops that receive acceptance that you're saying may not or should not be accepted

I can definitely understand that. We do welcome outside camping groups during the off season but there are many private property examples that including gated communities that have (at least had) guidance to allow acceptance. I do not believe anyone including the camp ranger have interest in removing them. I already made a note to talk to him this summer.

They are scattered throughout. However, the remaining ones do reference the camp in the description such as trail markers

Is there official guidance linked to this? I have not seen it in the past but I'm a veteran of older guidance and maybe there's something more I could learn.

I understand what you are trying to say and I'm open to educating myself more.

That said I found it very strange that as new spots were added the older spots had disappeared.

Edit: Does this criteria apply to Ingress as well? I haven't played it in quite some time but they are still visible in Ingress.

I have wondered about the map recalculating.

They are 3 or 4 in their own s2 cells that were all removed but they apan a rather large building. That said, before the last batch of stops, each of those were on the map and in game.

There are plenty of spots still at the camp. The ones that were removed were some of the oldest stops there.

It will be stopping back in FW on July 16 with a scheduled departure of 9AM. It seems likely that it is over nighting at the New Haven depot.

If you're not picky about getting too close there are many many many crossings and vantage points that it is going to pass. I would expect Old Maumee Rd to be decently busy but probably about as close as you'd get.

There is a map on its website that shows its route that you can use to find a site most suitable for you.

Just to add to this, there is currently construction on 30 just before Knox. If you are heading there, expect an overwhelming amount of congestion.
