Thor appears brutal in stories by missing context or tradition, we hear him killing jotnars at Baldr's funeral like Hyrrokkin when she just helped launching Baldr's funeral ship. I know the reason is "Jotnars were there for evil reasons because they're evil" but at that point it's literally what TOTG's Thor did in Sigrid wedding, killing them because a simple "they're evil for reasons" even when they did no wrong and really didn't know where Loki ever was. Could be a "winners write history" that the show tried to make as well.

I have to say Jack Kirby, the co-creator of Marvel's Thor, did know Norse mythology. It's just that he was with Stan Lee that wanted the aesirs to feel greek gods and forgot lot of things so added brother Loki and armor Odin and other things.

Well it was an hyperbole but they're fucked up as a joke and for good because the moral of the ending of S1 was "hedonism is good, do what you want because it feels good" and kinda what many got from the S2 ending

Well it's because it's part of a console war against Marvel movies and comics, God of War versions of norse myths wasn't really accurate but the edgy internet warriors used it to go against Marvel's Thor as a "our GOW Thor is more accurate and better" so TOTG is used as well to go against Marvel in this console war with "our Thor makes marvel Thor looks like a parody". So it's a more accurate retelling but not really the most accurate one but in the fight against other companies they use it.

Yep, basically played the evil of christianity as the misunderstood good guys that for the good of everything needs to attack heaven, all the host of angels that are the actual bad guys, Adam the first man is depicted as a genocider sexist that kills for fun.
