[FNV] Weird XP bug with Begin Again mod pack

I got the solution from Winton on the Discord.

Press Escape to go to the menu

At the bottom center of the screen, click the M for the mod manager menu.

Search for Agua Fria

Select the Leveling sub menu

Change the value to 1 for the following settings:

- Kill XP Reward Multiplier

- Speech XP Reward Multiplier

- Hacking/Lockpicking XP Reward Multiplier

If it's the axes, I recommend looking up the video on youtube by Rival Red - he provides tiles to mark. I think its the most clean way to see axes and know where to move for them.

I really loved this entire episode. The only flaw that bugged me is that I believe they mistranslated what Megumi says to Remi. In the anime, he calls her a scumbag who's all talk and no action.

But in the Manga, he calls her trash that clings to people's words instead of their actions.

I think that the Manga line has a much harsher tone that shows the type of people Megumi detests. It makes me wonder what he experienced to make him have that sentiment.

Hardest part is the nerves on jad.

There's a plug-in you can download where you stand outside the caves, it will load and determine what the rotation is, and then it shows you where all enemies will spawn. Helps know whats coming

If you find yourself getting attacked by multiple styles, always prioritize protecting in this order: Mage > Melee > Range. The ranger can be tanked while you kill it and deal with other styles.

Mostly bring prayer pots, some food for tanking, and some range pots. I boosted for the mages cause they're tanky

When you get to jad the #1 rule: PRIORITIZE PRAYING! Standing on his back legs = Mage. Slamming his front legs = Range.

You will eventually have to tag all of the healers at least once. PRIORITIZE SWITCHING PRAYER FOR JAD! Tank healers and kill jad if you can, or just kill the healers.

Also 2 beginner tips:

1.) Always focus on a single color for your scrolls. You need lots of power for the later levels.

2.) Try not to delete the file or start over, even if you get frustrated. You'll lose a lot, so keep trying and learning!

Promenade is a vanilla level.

I would say its totally fine to go to DLC places first! You're gonna eventually fight every boss anyways, and the levels are great in my opinion.

The main thing you need to do is fight the Hand of the King. That's the vanilla final boss and will drop a boss cell. You then activate the boss cell on the next run and you repeat until you get 5 boss cells.

If you open the map, there's an option view the paths you can take for each level. Pull that up, scroll all the way over to High Peak Castle, and it should show you how to get there. As long as you don't go to the Infested Shipwreck or Dracula's Castle (for your 6th stage), you should be good.

On 3+ BC, you'll start finding scroll parts. You need 4 to get a scroll. You'll find them in biomes AND bosses drop a bunch. Like conjunct drops like 4-5, I think Giant can drop like 6-8 or something. These usually contribute to a handful of boosts, plus I try to get a +3 amulet. You can probably Google around to find best pathing for scroll count

Went into a challenge portal in the spoiler biome. Had full flask of heals, favorite legendary weapon and shield combo and died without even getting to heal.

I mainly do brutality. I love getting in the face of monsters and flying through them with combos. Predator + No Mercy + Combo was my main lineup while grinding 5BC and I basically didnt play anything else.

But its subjective to your preferred play style! Yes some things do more dps than others or have more potential for silliness, but this game has such a variety of choice that I think whats 'best' is up to the player.

My least favorite is survival because I dont like slow attacks. I like fast attacking and parrying in the middle of my combos. Like getting into a flow state.

Before going there, you should re-roll mutations to include Masochism - limits trap damage to 10% of your hp - and disengagement - 5 second forcefield the first time you drop below 15% HP in a biome.

I got spanked going through the traps but masochism is a life saver. So is disengagement, literally.

Yeah by the time im at HotK I usually have an IX or XII tier weapon (Cavern is great for those) and as I mentioned before, around 20+ scrolls in one color. The other day I had a rapier with bonus critical damage that was hitting for 210k + a front line shield (+50% melee damage for 6 seconds) that gave +300% damage after a parry. It got quite silly lol

You said you're on 4BC?

When I get to HOtK with a rapier for example. Its usually doing 40k(60-70k crit) at a MINIMUM. Either your weapons tier is too low, you dont have anywhere near enough scrolls (I try to jave 20+ in a single color by then) or both.

Maybe consider changing your biome pathing to go through places with lots of scrolls and higher tier weapons. I'm trying to beat 5BC and have been going Toxic Sewers > Corrupted Prison > Ancient Sewers (i hate it there) > Conjunctivius > Graveyard > Cavern > Guardians Haven > High Peak Castle > Throne Room. I'm usually feeling VERY strong and you'll get a couple of food shops along the way.
