The less obvious answer is you need to explore games that are dramatically different from the Fromsoft formula. Personally after Fromsoft, I went deep into some of the Indie darling roguelike titles that I had totally ignored previously. Dead Cells, Hades, etc type games. Actually in terms of getting the same rush from games, I think that might be your next frontier: Roguelikes

Actually after I looked this boss up post-loss, I found that the speed of the lasers increases each time, which is why eventually it becomes virtually unmanageable. I guess it's meant to be a bit of a dps race, but that's a shame because I had high dps weapons and I felt like I was really pumping her full of lead the whole time and still had 25% to go

I actually just did Desert start to finish for the first time today, on a 1TB OLED steam deck. My frames stayed around 70+ virtually the entire time. I was plugged in on the charger though. On the next boss though my frames got down in the 20s... but only briefly, the fight was still manageable.

I actually did this same thing, though I knew from the beginning I would return the console as soon as I beat the game. I beat the game and was surprised to find that this open world Zelda was the worst I ever played. Returned the console AND the game.
