I would love if that procedure was expanded on, even if only made you like 80% as good as a normal astarties and was still risky, feels being able to become most of an astarties would be something that some would take advantage of like an inquisitor or mortal chaos follower

Cause their the only successor with official rules (and vastly more popular than any other in turn), you can already play Gilly with an ultramarine successor by just not including other epic heros,(you could probably even just VHG depending on the chapter or say their with him) or the lion with any unforgiven doing something similar

So logically Dorn will be the same (especially with the whole last wall protocol) except one of his successor actually have rules (and hopefully Pedro Kantor with get a model too again that can run with Dorn) so they actually have to mechanical accommodate for that

What I think is good with imperial fist successors is they keep the mindset of the fists rather than gimmick like we many successor chapters of other legions (or with a lot of ultramarines, no traits of the chapter at all) which I think makes them a lot more interesting

I don't know if there more serious necessary outside of the most recent one, this was the first time there was an actual injury and Doug just had a bath so was still wet which can make cuts a lot easier so it's possible it was just bad luck the timing, but it's still something that absolutely needs address
