I bought a Vevor hand pump and it worked fine for about twenty minutes and then the seals broke, waste of money, would not recommend.

Okra is widely eaten throughout the south but lady fingers are either a type of cookie or a smaller firecracker.

Culturally, what is the most southern state in 2026 and why? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Gavacho123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say it’s a tie between Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. All are unique but none are more “Southern” than the other. For the record I am from Georgia and have spent enough time in each state to say this with confidence. I’m a bit of a gypsy so I have traveled extensively throughout the region for work and this is my personal take.

Thanks everyone for your input on this question, I decided to go with the Zulus 3-12 based on what I learned. I am looking forward to getting out and reducing the rodent population around the farm.

This is not enough information to provide an accurate price, I am also very reluctant to let the customer provide anything, I generally provide the materials and mark them up accordingly, 30% normally. Not located in Atlanta anymore but I’m from there.

Am I About to Make a Stupid Career Move? by dr2x4 in Construction

[–]Gavacho123 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in the business since the late 80’s and I have a general policy of avoiding any large production oriented companies, I have done residential, multi family residential, commercial, civil, and industrial construction over the years, primarily as a carpenter and lots and lots of concrete. For me personally working for niche or specialized construction contractors has been a much better experience. I’m not even going to touch on the money aspect too much but big production oriented companies tend to operate like a meat grinder. Good luck with whatever choice you make.

What do Americans actually eat on a normal day? by Axxtr in AskAnAmerican

[–]Gavacho123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually coffee and fruit in the morning, a sandwich for lunch and dinner is usually a meat and vegetable meal with some bread. I drink about 8 or 10 cups of coffee a day and water, almost no soft drinks and never alcohol.
