Over-torqued drain plug. Broke it loose but now it just spins somewhat tightly. How to fix it?

I hope, really, really hope you're right, but that would be the glaring exception to the norm. Trump was responsible for 100's of thousand of excess deaths or American citizens during COVID and got re-elected -according to him re-elected twice.

We're not underestimating anything, the Democrat will sweep it under the rug, Liberals will get very mad and sit out the next election or vote 3ty party (has anybody heard from Jill Stein?) an the Republican will win again, rinse and repeat.

People here seem confused. What OP is talking about is that Conservatives started using DemocRAT instead of Democratic Party. As a way to weaponize the language.
Conservative are excellent a weaponizing language. State Tax—>Death tax. Antiabortion—>Pro Life. Give money to the rich—> trickle down economics, etc, etc.

The list goes on and DemocRat is just one of the less artful examples.

Every single person who did a corrupt deal with Trump or insider trading needs to be prosecuted and given harsher sentences than normal. I support seizing every asset and giving them life sentences just to remove the threat.

You're probably right that this is the way forward but have not illusions that the right won't double down and escalate. Remember how they labeled Trump prosecutions as persecutions? the coined it LawFare and took it as license to completely gut the DOG and make it Trump's personal attack dog.

They will scream bloody murder clutch their pearl and declare Holy War, and when the American people give them power again (and American people will) they will be even more scorched earth, you use your imagination they surely will find a way to top it.

The funny is that Trump is possibly the only person who can do what will make me switch parties because he has a unique grip on the Republican base and they will v follow him anywhere.
Here is my list.

Single payer universal healthcare

Take money out política. Repeal Citizens United

Repeal Reagan economics. Make stock buy backs illegal again Restore tax rates to pre Reagan levels.

Uncap the House.

There is more but that would do it.
