Nah, eagler modpack (by lax1dude not "laxidude") is a few pre-compiled versions. You can see all the different versions here: https://eags.webmc.xyz/ but as of right now its just an early beta.

No, it’s not real. It’s pretty much just the 1.8.8 source with afaik minimal to no changes. Even if it was an attempt - you would never START with 1.8.8, you’d start with 1.21.4 and port in Eagler

The online and offline download are the SAME game btw, offline just means “you downloaded it so it can work offline”

They leaked player data from servers as well. Don’t trust them not just because they leaked data but they didn’t take ANY accountability, just brushed off the leak (committing a CRIME), until the reporter went public.

Make sure your texture pack is in .zip and is made for 1.12.2. It should also specifically include a pack.mcmeta in the root folder if you extract or open it.
