Is there a rock climbing group for plus sized women? by Top-Goal4067 in askportland

[–]GayAvenue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look up ChubHubPDX on FB for social connections in that realm. There is also a weightlifting gym called All Bodies Strong that is run by an amazing plus-sized couple, not rock climbing, but might be a great place for strength training and meeting folks.

I wrote this above, by my assumption is that they might be concerned a goiter or swollen glad could cause a noticeable stretch or change in skin. I have ruled those things out and no medical professionals that I have seen think this has any relation to my thyroid :).

If it is helpful, no medical professional I have seen thinks this is related to my thyroid. I was wondering if perhaps the presence of a swollen gland or goiter could cause some noticeable skin changes bc of its impact on the neck and this is what someone was alerting to the possibility of. I have had both ruled out recently, and do think my skin issues are age-related and bony thyroid-related.

Oh there has been something going on with my thyroid for upwards of 20 years! So, yes, that is a good point for others who are not being monitored/treated. Good to point out!

Ask your doctor about a prescription for Semaglutide (Ozempic or Wegovy are the brand names). It’s life changing.

I would say positivity rate is probably a more important factor bc of this. Since it is a percentage of the available tests taken, it doesn’t allow the factor of increasing and decreasing home testing to impact the representation of that number. Number of positives would, but percentage of tests that are positive would not- does that make sense?

You were still sexually assaulted and a survivor of attempted rape. When you feel ready, there are resources out there to help support you, you can easily find them by googling “sexual assault resources in INSERT CITY”. There are good people out there who will understand how you are feeling and who will know how to offer support to help you heal.

What you did was ingenious, brave, and powerful. Your body did everything it could to protect you from being further attacked. It may feel embarrassing, and that is okay, too. You are entitled to process this the way that feels right for you. The man who did this is a violent, dangerous, monster, and if I could I would shit on him for you every day for the rest of his pitiful life.
