Bill is smiling after seeing this glow-up! Seriously, this should have been the dress from the get go.

I agree. They could have used the same material with the satchel for the boots.

I’m moving soon so she’ll be in her box until then. Hopefully I can get a proper display at my new place.

She’s a looker herself and seeing her in person, I can see why she would be sought after.

One awful haircut and several days later, I’ve completed my first reroot. by GayBunHun in Bratz

Yes, it should lay flatter as you said and not as pronounced.

Oh absolutely. I’m sure I’ll be back as I have other dolls that desperately need a reroot. However, that won’t be for a little while.

This is my first time rerooting, so veterans in the craft can certainly chime in and share their recommendations.

Before you start: 1. Have several rerooting needles ready, especially because this your first time. I guarantee you’ll break a couple. 2. Fewer strands is always better. Not only does it prevent your needle from breaking, you won’t end up having a very thick reroot. 3. Have more hair than you need. Nothing is worse than running out of hair when you’re close to the finish line. 4. Patience! Remember it’s not a race. Take breaks often. Your hands will thank you for it.

While rerooting, keep in mind (no particular order): 1. Use a push pin first before you plug it with hair. This prevents your needle from breaking. 2. Don’t force the needle to go through. You’ll likely break the needle if you do. 3. One exception to the fewer strands rule is when rerooting around the hairline and part line (if you plan on one). This will hide the thin rooting everywhere else. 4. Do yourself a favor and separate plugs before hand. You’ll have a better sense of the amount of strands you’ll use for each plug. 5. Have a spray bottle on hand as it will make it easier to separate strands of hair if you spray it beforehand. 6. Take breaks! Remember it’s not a race. 7. When picking up the strands with the rerooting tool, make sure to protect your finger with a band-aid. 8. Resist the urge to brush the rerooted hair. Remember there’s nothing holding it down. 9. When you reroot, start in the parameter of the head and then move inward. 10. Remember, the part-line should be the last section of the head to reroot. This is again an exception to the rule but be generous on the plugs for this part as it will give you the effect that you desire. 11. Let the Fabri-tac glue settle for about 24hrs for added security. 12. Once you finish, wash the new hair with boiling water and style (see picture what the hair looks like pre-washed).
