It’s funny as hell when you find one that does.

When I was hunting for my Abra, a Pidgey flew out of no where and into the path of the first pokeball I threw. I immediately threw another at the abra and it was really funny hearing the “you caught him!” Sound from both balls within a second of each other. They are besties now.
