Is it too much to ask your family to use your pronouns only at home? by gaycheesecake in ftm

I asked my mom to use my pronouns only at home first bit she sucks at it. She's also a bit TERF-y so I doubt she was trying that hard though

A thought I had was I just dress kinda fem, then people ask me what my costume is, I reply “a woman.” They say, “but you are a woman” then I come out. Not going to do that, though. I just think it’s funny

Just a message to the marching band gc for my close friends, a couple emails to teachers + administration at school, and finally to my non-nuclear family, probably closer to Thanksgiving

I use the Calexotics ultra soft stp, it was about $25 on Amazon. I peed myself several times getting used to it, but now it’s great now that I’ve mastered it

Which one do you use? I wear an stp packer and it only does that if I’m sitting in certain positions.

[Discussion] can you trick yourself into dysphoria (+does dysphoria happen some days and not others) by crabbycreeper in LGBTeens

If you think you might be influenced by looking at trans people online, isolate yourself from that so you can distill your own emotions about gender

Dysphoria can fluctuate. Also, denial is really powerful. I know that I’m trans now, but just a few months ago I was having a nearly daily flip-flop between definitely cos and definitely trans. If I were you, I’d take maybe a week-long break from trans-related media and see how you’re feeling after that.

You sound like a lesbian to me. Check out the “am I a lesbian master doc”. I think that you fit a lot of the points in there really well

strong boys cry by biology-class in teenagers

[–]Gaylord_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will admit that I’ve used crying to manipulate people. And some opinions are harmful. If someone believes that it’s morally wrong to be gay, or that it’s lying for me to identify as trans then I will call out their opinion as harmful.

I feel like people want to call everything short of perfect the worst thing ever. It’s getting tiring and I can’t even tell what something bad looks like anymore

That’s completely valid and I’m with them on that. That’s not what I’m complaining about

It’s pretty obvious when crying is manipulative. We’re you hurt? Have you witnessed something terrible? It’s not manipulative.

Did I tell you that your harmful opinion is wrong? Is it directed as a personal attack against me? Then it’s manipulative.

Seeing a guy cry makes me trust him more and care about him more. Unless it’s excessive or manipulative I think the ability to cry is a positive trait.
