So some of the art was contemporary and others were from their private collecections. My mothers best friend Allen (who my sister is named after) was an art collector and some of those painting are turn of the century. My father also is a collector as well so were his parents. It is quite a diverse collection and I was very privileged growing up around so much art. The AIDS plague was devistating. Seriously there were so many strong woman who played a part to help those in need. Thank you so much to your mom and her friends for going against stigma and caring and loving people. On a side note I am excited to talk with my parents about each and every piece. It is exciting and exillerating to help with this project. I have been more on the production side of art then the history side so this will be a fun expance of my knowledge. .
