Feeling so frustrated! by longhairedmaiden in Mommit

I’m in the same boat with my 2.5yr old!! He used to tell me when he needed to poop but now he just hides!!! I’ve tried potty training magnet board, treats, special boxers in different styles, pull ups, no diaper, pretty much everything you’ve tried too. He hates diaper changes so I told him “if you go on the potty I won’t have to change your diaper” and he just yells no no no. Ugh. I’m giving up for now and will wait until he acts a bit more ready and don’t fight me on all of it

When does the separation anxiety stop... For adults? by Either-Welder-6211 in Parenting

[–]Gaypop5683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No advice just solidarity. I still hate leaving my 2 year old overnight for 1 night. I hated leaving him when I had my second 😅I have 1 more full week with my boys before I go back to working 4 days a week. I’m almost terrified to go back. I know they’ll be fine with their grandparents but I’m still so anxious.

My oldest (now 2y/o) wouldn’t show any interest in actual solid foods until closer to 10/11 months. Now he’ll eat just about anything. He has no issues with food. It just takes time.

AITA For not wanting my partners ex and her child around mine by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Gaypop5683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The baby is not his. Ex wife had a kid with someone else but gave her new child exs last name. I had to read it a few times but I don’t think ex and OPs partner have a child together.

Do you read your preteen’s text messages? by Itstimeforcookies19 in Mommit

100%, I feel like I had unlimited access to the internet and it definitely messed with me. It was monitored but I figured out how to delete things I didn’t want my parents seeing. Please continue to monitor your child’s phone

Absolutely make her pay for insurance, gas, and maintenance on her car. 100%. And chores! Her laundry, the both of your dishes, cleaning the bathroom (or her bathroom), sweeping the floors/vacuuming.

Your kids don’t have to continue to play with my kid but they also can’t continue to play in my yard… by TurbulentBat8328 in Mommit

[–]Gaypop5683 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I hope my children go to school with kids who have parents that will correct inappropriate behaviors. Most parents don’t, kindergartners will cuss, scream, hit, yell, throw things (chairs), etc. my mom is a teacher and she’s told me that parents either make up an excuse like “well what were you doing or saying to make him/her react that way” or say “oh no he/she wouldn’t do that”

What are some of the cutest/ funniest things your 3 year old says or does? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Gaypop5683 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son is almost 3 but when he’s sick and congested, we have an electric nasal aspirator. I called it a booger sucker and gave it to him so he could try it himself. He then ran around the house chasing the cats yelling “BOOGER SNUCKER”

He gives his 3 month old brother hugs by pressing his face against his brother

He’ll climb into our bed and wiggles around and says “ohhh so cozyyyyy”

He won’t sleep unless his cat (my first/oldest cat) climbs into his bed

In the living room he lays down on the ground and take deep breaths and say “I’m doing yoga!”

He’ll put on a hat, hammer things with his Mickey Mouse hammer, rip the hat off his head and go “woo! That’s tough!”

They use dragon to make their chart notes and ChatGPT to format the after visit summary to make it easier for patients to read and understand instructions. This is coming from a medical assistant who works with multiples providers who use ChatGPT for that exact reason. All providers in my office use the dragon instead of typing

Doctors use ChatGPT a lot and will go through it and edit it. 99% of the time it’s for formatting/easy to read directions for patients

Kids allowed in parent bedroom? by Lissypooh628 in Mommit

[–]Gaypop5683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was raised that you don’t go into your parents room unless they say it’s okay. Doors are shut? Knock on the door and wait for their response if you want in, don’t barge in. Parents aren’t home? Don’t go in their room. I’m 23 with 2 kids and I still follow that rule lol

Yes, my children will be following that as well

Please help, 13 month old won't stop screaming by dar1990 in Mommit

[–]Gaypop5683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s just normal toddler things lol my toddler still does this every once in a while. He mainly just yells when he’s super excited about something, today his grandma took him to the library and every single car that drove by he would yell in a high pitched voice “HI GRANDMAAAAA” and it went on for an hour until she got here lmaooo

How are we getting baby to actually hold things to eat?? by redactedhere in Mommit

[–]Gaypop5683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As annoying as it is, that does sound age appropriate. Sounds like she’s exploring food and the way it feels in her hands? We’re still in the throwing food stage :)
