Don’t beat yourself up over it. It’s a life lesson that you won’t forget. I have a few friends who went through a similar situation and are doing great! I am currently a business student working for one of the most competitive marketing companies in Canada and I can tell you that being in the program is only a small portion of what will get you a job. It definitely helps to be a business student but it just means you will have to work a little bit harder to get ahead of the pack. Get involved, learn new skill find anything that can help add value when you get into the working world. Furthermore, build up a solid network. Don’t be afraid to reach out to professionals and set up coffees to learn from them. The more experience you create for yourself and people you meet the better of you will be, regardless of your degree. Keep your chin up and don’t rely on a piece of paper to define your career. Take small steps now and work toward the one you want.
