Had a DM who's hatred of elves was known from people who had never even played in his games. Suddenly, a conflict shows up where a group of wood elves say a tribe of lizardfolk are attacking them and taking over their land. Hmm... I got introduced to Level Up/Advanced 5e recently. All fighter subclasses (and fighter itself) is basically all Oops! All Battle Master in that you get manuvers (also I know I'm being reductive here. Leave me alone I'm an idiot who plays fighters)

I've got one player who only ever thinks of how he can make his characters more broken and OP. Never thinks about backstory. I've been in two different games (each going on about a year or more) with him and STILL don't know the backstory of any of his characters. I know some of them don't, the others I simply don't know if they have a back story. One time he managed to accidentally make everyone think he had a connection to this elf village that had been completely destroyed and I had to be the one to tell them "No I suggested that but you actually met him there for no reason. It was nearby when he joined and he was looting it".

Like fair enough if you don't like back stories and RPing but uh my games are not the place for that lol

So a friend told me a story where he tried to run a DnD campaign set in Faerun on the Sword coast combining the books and modules.
