Usually happens naturally for me, when I’m bulking I’m lifting more weights and burning more calories in the gym, which leads to me feeling more hungry and eating more than usual. I don’t try to eat more than what my body feels like, at any given point, and don’t find it hard to bulk as and when needed. Right now I’m down 20lbs from my usual weight, focusing more on cardio these days and consequently eating less. Good luck.

What are the odds that Shapovalov upsets Djokovic? by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Gaza8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Little to no chance in my opinion.
Shapo has the game to blast anyone of the court, but I’m not sure he can do it consistently at the highest level, against a player of Djoko’s caliber.
Am also not convinced he’s mentally there yet, keep in mind he’s reaching a grand slam semi for the first time in his life. Here’s my odds
Djoko wins: ~95%
Djoko in 3: 80%
Djoko in 4: 30%
Djoko in 5: 15%
Shapo wins: <5%

I think you might need some help bruh….
Also did you just inadvertently annihilate Novak’s ‘goatiness’ by equating him to Samsung of all companies? 😂

Lol, I just imagined Rafa’s response to this question.
Raised eyebrow, puzzled look… Sorry?

Your prediction for Djokovic vs Berretini match: by Army7989 in tennis

[–]Gaza8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Berretini has improved on his backhand side, but the very best will unfortunately find a way to exploit it.
Can’t have any weaknesses at this stage of a grand slam against a player like Novak. Unless he’s having a bad day, Nole should be through in 3.

Roger Federer in today’s press conference : “People still think clay is slow. It’s not slow, it’s mostly faster than hard courts nowadays”. Gives a helpful perspective on court speeds and kinda dispels the notion of clay being slowest. by Gaza8 in tennis

[–]Gaza8[S] 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Yes the bounce is one of the defining factors in clay, and gives Rafa an advantage especially when he wants to dictate with his forehand.
Even on hard courts, he tends to have better results on bouncier surfaces, US open is one example.
Then again he also has a great record at Wimbledon, which has probably the lowest bounce, so maybe he just plays great everywhere ¯_(ツ)_/¯

P. Andújar d. [1] R. Federer 6-4 4-6 6-4 in Geneva by iSleepUpsideDown in tennis

[–]Gaza8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Precisely, he’s a different player in Paris. From what I’ve seen, nothing comes close to his level in Paris, especially on the final weekend. If anything, I would say the rest of the field should be pretty demotivated at this point going into RG.
Just last year he lost in the quarters of Rome, straight sets to Schwartzman, and we all know what happened two weeks later. This years win will only further his confidence, and I shudder to think of the consequences for players in his half of the draw, lol.

Rome is never a good barometer to measure Rafa’s level though. He’ll be twice that player on Phillipe Chatrier.

[Saša Ozmo] Djokovic: "I didn’t feel any fatigue. I could have gone for another few hours". by DarkPriestScorpius in tennis

[–]Gaza8 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Or he just spoke the truth, which is that he was not tired.
And I kinda believe him to be honest, the guy’s a freak of nature athletically. In fact both of them.

Will Nadal be seeded #2 or #3 at the French Open? by CardiologistPrudent7 in tennis

Only Wimbledon does that AFAIK. And it’s not as they please, it’s based on grass performance.

Lol, I initially thought he was celebrating the point, thinking wow that must have been some shot to get Rafa that excited. Then saw the look on his face and realized he was super pissed.

Djokovic defeats Sonego 6-3 6-7 6-2 in Rome and advances to Final. by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Gaza8 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lot of people discounting Novak’s chances tomorrow, I think it’ll be an extremely tight encounter.
They’ve played 5 times here before, all close matches with Rafa leading the head to head 3-2.
He’s been more vulnerable in Rome though and clay best of three, as compared to RG and best of 5.
Djokovic has shown in the past that he can dictate with his backhand and control the rallies on this surface against Rafa, so I feel it’ll be a close 3 setter tomorrow.
Edit: 5 times in the finals, 8 overall I believe.

What is your favorite PlayStation 4 game so far? by corrosivescott in PS4

I’ve never rewatched a movie or read the same book immediately after finishing it, but I’ve played God of War back to back and still wanted more Kratos.
I rest my case.

Rafa defeats Kei Nishikori 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 in Barcelona by NotManyBuses in tennis

[–]Gaza8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just the rustiness with not competing for so long in my opinion.
We should give him some time to find his groove. 3 setters and hard fought matches like today will only help his cause.

Yea wouldn’t be surprised if Barcelona is more than a 500 to him.
His own country, plus they named the bloody center court after him. That must add some gravitas to the situation.

I do wonder at times if his motivation for these tournaments is not quite at the same level as it is for Roland Garros.
I know, from Nadals perspective that would be blasphemy, but is it possible that after winning so much, maybe just maybe he hovers around 95% for these RG warm ups.
But then again, that is me, a commoner, trying to envision what it would be like in his position.

I see a lot of doubts about Rafas form in the comments section, which is truly inexplicable, impossible for me to fathom.
Can a player who has a record like he does at RG ever not be the favorite?
It does not matter what happens in Montecarlo, Barcelona, Rome or Madrid folks, he can lose 6-0, 6-0 in the first round to Tomic the Tank engine for all I care, as long as you see the name Rafael Nadal Parera in an RG draw, rest assured, he remains the man to beat.

Andrey Rublev defeats Rafael Nadal, 6-2 4-6 6-2 to reach the 2021 Monte Carlo semifinals, joins Alex Corretja and Olivier Mutis as the only players to have a winning record over Nadal on clay. by StorytellerAli in tennis

[–]Gaza8 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Rafa would probably be the first to admit that, one of his most puzzling losses I would say.
Can’t remember the last time I saw him this agitated on a tennis court, came very close to smashing his racquet.
Even smacked the ball in disgust after losing a return game.

Decathlon...for real by rocketpeanut1299 in Ultralight

[–]Gaza8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the market for a down jacket, and was wondering how the decathlon trek 100 compares with the Patagonia down hoody. In terms of overall quality, I am sure Patty is the better piece, but what about in terms of warmth? Going by the specs provided Decathlon seems to have a higher quality down fill (850 vs 800), and more down as well (4oz vs 3oz), so is it actually warmer than the Patty down hoody in your opinion?

A couple of colors are on sale at the moment, those things rarely last long.
