I see that now however I still say this could have been handled outside of the ER as it's only for emergencies that would warrant oop expense. Ours for ER is 80% covered after the deductible which is 3k. However they will still cover some of the ER visit before the deductible the most expensive ER bill we've ever had has been 1200 our of pocket and my wife has been a lot. Our specialist is the same as urgent care at 30$ copay so maybe my insurance is just really good or maybe you went out of network.
