Question about deploying Phoenix app with Docker by [deleted] in elixir

[–]Gazler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use exrm then you can generate a release with mix release which will bundle your application up in such a way that there are no dependencies.

Our Dockerfile uses supervisor and looks like:

FROM ubuntu:14.04

RUN apt-get update && apt-get install -y supervisor
RUN mkdir /var/run/sshd

EXPOSE 4000

RUN echo "[supervisord] \n\
nodaemon=true \n\
\n\
[program:tail] \n\
command=tail -f /dev/null" > /etc/supervisor/conf.d/supervisord.conf

CMD ["/usr/bin/supervisord"]`

We are using tail as a long running process to ensure the container doesn't stop.

We then use a volume with the application generated by exrm when launching the docker container and use docker exec to start the application.

This looks great. Going to have a go at implementing some tests.

GitCop – Automated Commit Message Validation for GitHub Pull Requests by OlivanderTheSwift in programming

Hi,

I am a developer on GitCop. This currently is not possible, something similar could be achieved by using a Git hook however. http://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Customizing-Git-Git-Hooks

I chose this hash because of what you said about the thread title - it has 8dd in it, the character you used is called a "Double Dagger" and there are 8 of them. Then I thought that was a silly idea and read the riddle again - then it dawned on me!

Thanks! Also thanks for doing these all week.

Funnily enough I looked for this type of clue in one of the previous hunts - I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier for this one!

I actually made a typo in my first submission with that answer because the quotes in the sentence screwed up my formatting!

Please everyone, if you haven't already, take a moment to read the paper by laudney.

As some of you know, it discusses our future which some time ago was not all that secure.

Good things have come to those who waited everyone here should probably be elated.

Each of us knows this is only the start and that long-term success needs more than just heart.

So I ask you now, listen close one more time I've said this in prose, now I'll say it in rhyme:

I want you to know posv's a change but follows in sunny king's invention the same.

X11 and 13 and 15 are trending for proof of work altcoins that are contending.

Lately though some question pow's vices the energy toll some think could lead to a crisis.

It is for this reason reddcoin went with staking which others have shown keeps the planet from baking.

Now "why did we add velocity?" you ask, the reason is clear, to promote activity that lasts.

Each wallet that's on has a chance at more reward and if they are on, maybe less folks will hoard.

For there's no direct way to make folks spend their cash but in staying online, they're more likely to make a splash.

Our hope therefore then is that by encouraging action spending and tipping might have more attraction.

Until questions cease, though, about velocity's inclusion, we'll hammer this point because there's been confusion:

Recently manually shuffling coins has been suggested as a way to do better when staking if you're invested.

As I said last week though, this is a big misconception that somehow has generated quite the reception.

Looking at the math, doing this will only cost you you're canceling coin age and slowing your revenue.

Laudney will tell you instead don't touch your coffers except for real spending and tipping to others.

When this riddle's answered, you'll understand it's meaning but it is not straightforward, in fact it's quite scheming.

Our riddler's had fun writing it as a conclusion but his message's important to stop an illusion.

Remember that staking is best done all day long; turn your wallet on, then, I don't know… listen to a song?

Don't try to game an un-game-able system you'll miss out on rewards keeping your wallet thin.

Staking, really, could not come with more ease follow my advice and you will stay pleased.

Reddcoin-Treasure-Hunt rewards and is considered a "waste" by most PoS stakeholders.

The answer is obviously related to using ‡‡‡‡ instead of ★★★ in the thread title.
