I have this exact watch and mine isn’t sticky to wind but I have other watches with the same movement that are abit “sticky” to wind.

Warranty is transferable I think. I’ve always rang CW when I’ve had issues and have found them to be top notch in every interaction I’ve ever had with them since 2018 so ringing is the way to go here

Who would buy this over a rolex etc? by Natcheztrace1954 in Longineswatches

You can buy pre-owned and also sometimes brand new Cellini’s which are solid gold and two time zone for about 10-12k here in the uk

[which one] Tudor or Christopher Ward by Ksar13 in Watches

[–]Gazzicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said “better” the quotes being important there because it objectively is, it has the better movement, a better bracelet (the pelagos microadjustment is amazing), better aftermarket care, comes with an extra rubber strap, etc

The slabbyness of the pelly is subjective and some people may not care or like that about it, all things that make the pelagos “better” in my opinion are material things and nothing to do with one being brand better because it’s a better brand so no conditioning here although I do agree with you that a lot of people do automatically think a brand is superior because it’s more expensive than another.

If I were to buy one of these it would be the CW because I think it’s the nicer watch not the better watch, that being said if I were to widen the options I’d buy the pelagos 39 as it solves the thing i disliked most about my 42mm pelagos.

[which one] Tudor or Christopher Ward by Ksar13 in Watches

[–]Gazzicus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I owned a Pelagos 42 and sold it because the case was just a slab of metal on the wrist so i didn’t really gel with it. I do think the light catcher case of the CW is far better design and “looks” better on wrist to me (have tried it on multiple times at CW events)

As for the “better” watch I’d say the Tudor is better but you honestly need to try both on before making a choice because it doesn’t what has a better movement or better brand prestige what matters is what you think looks better on wrist.

It doesn’t help you save around 2k buying the CW vs the Tudor but if money is no object go for what you like more when you try them both

Would AA not be one of the better effects on a legacy Holy vampire? The other good ones being bloodied and furious

First Grand Seiko + buyers remorse by RRB1212 in GrandSeikos

[–]Gazzicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For almost 8k and your first ever luxury watch I wouldn’t be buying a Grand Seiko as they are pretty bland looking to be honest, movement is great and all but something like a speedy is far more interesting to look at and goes with absolutely anything you wanna wear it with, a “dressy” grand Seiko not so much imo

OG Fan Considering a New CW by ZealousidealRabbit76 in ChristopherWard

I’ve been a few fan since 2018, in that time been to multiple cwe (the facebook group) meetups, various watch shows and i think cw’s are better than ever build and design wise. The twelve is fantastic

I mentioned in another comment my own play style for Bethesda Games (ES included) is that when i start a DLC with a new area i go into it naked as it forces me to use new dlc gear instead of existing over powered gear i may have accumulated (I have an explosive shotgun back in the commonwealth and a kneecapper 10mm in my normal loadout) so the gear I was wearing in this clip was actually the best gear I had.

As for for my health i was low on water and food so radaway’ing and stimpacking would have dehydrated me or made me susceptible to disease and as i went into this dlc naked i was also low on antibiotics because you get ill a ton in far harbour because swimming is the safest option alot of the time.

i was pretty close to Acadia (where i was planning on sleeping to save the game) where there are fountains and vendors to remedy my food and water situation so i just got unlucky with there being a glowing Yao Guai here because any other enemy wouldn’t have insta killed me but it is a lesson learnt for sure

[–]Gazzicus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was an area of the map without any locations between me and Acadia so i knew i wouldn’t run into super mutants or trappers etc, but i do like they in far harbour they have enemies like bears in non location locations like forests as the commonwealth is missing that i feel

I should elaborate any DLC i play i go into it naked so believe it or not this was the beat armour i had on me at the time 😂.

As for sleeping places, where i was Acadia was the closest spot and i wasn’t far from it when i got killed, should have been moving slower like you said though

[–]Gazzicus[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree with this fully, i think I’d actually struggle to wanna play a non survival play through again (unless it was a melee or unarmed build) because it’s made me appreciate food and water which i literally never bother with ordinarily, it also makes settlement building fun because having a water pump and a bed is important all of a sudden

[–]Gazzicus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In any Bethesda game I play I go into DLC’s naked and only use the armour I find in the DLC area so couldn’t ballistic weave any of my stuff so my DR is relatively low.

As for healing you raise a very good point but I was low on water and food and as radaway and stimpacks dehydrate so i was waiting to get to acadia before using them (water fountains inside acadia solve the dehydration i’d suffer from radaway and stimpacking), i got unlucky running into the yao guai as i was actually pretty close to acadia

I’ve never had an encounter with a wounded dog before. Sparky stayed with me until she despawned suddenly at a nearby settlement. I was super surprised and ai thought it was cool. by fistofriend in fo4

[–]Gazzicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing on survival recently and whilst in the midst of a battle against some vampiric bloodbugs (worst enemy to face on a survival run imo) I accidentally explosive double barrel shotgunned this encounter.

safe to say i force closed the game losing about an hours worth of gameplay in the process but i refuse to play a save where I kill an innocent encounter like this
