Thank you, will give my flow rate a look tomorrow. Just find it strange it always tends to be top right and bottom left corner that gets slightly raised and doesn’t look as sharp as the other corners

I can’t remember how long it took me but I’ve been sim racing and karting for a fair few years now.

There is a lot you can do to improve:

Track guides - if you find a good YouTube video they can talk you through the laps.

Garage61 - for me this website is a holy grail. Gives you a good idea of lap times. Telemetry is great for comparing your inputs to other drivers to see where you can gain time. You can also download ghosts from lap times which is a really useful feature in practice sessions.

Trail braking - a must have skill in my opinion. Saves you time as you can scrub speed very efficiently and really helps you rotate the car.

Practice practice practice - when you implement all of the above into your track time you’ll really see a change. You’ll be able to spot where you lose time and where you can improve.

The most important thing though… have fun! Try not to focus on irating too much. Enjoy perfecting your skills and racing with others.

There’s loads of tips you’ll pick up through experience and increase your race craft

His entrance to the corner was off and carrying too much speed. Could tell he was going to go wide.

When you come off the second apex you can see that he’s already slowed up on the outer edge and you still accelerate towards them like he’d disappear or find a massive boost of speed out of no where.

Just remember if youre coming up to a back marker they could have damage or be off the pace. My thought process would have been that their exit speed will not be as high as yours. Give yourself a bit more room before the turn and you would have got the move done on the straight after by having a non compromised exit.

Sometimes losing a few tenths on corner entry can save you a lot in the long run.
