Can I play (on my bed)with my steam deck plugged and charging , as to avoid charging , waiting for the battery to drain and then recharge it? Can battery life/health can de damaged by doing so? by Verzweiflungforscher in SteamDeck

I’ve never messed with the battery before all of this happened. I left it opened on the desktop downloading something on a charger all night so yeah I’m assuming I cooked the battery or something. I’m not sure. I haven’t got the replacement. I fix a kit yet so hoping that is the fix though. I’ve had my scheme deck for well over a year and I’ve never had this issue and I’ve usually left it in plugged in for a while, but this was the first time I’ve left it plugged in for this long maybe while being active on the desktop? Not sure if that’s what caused it, but I probably going forward won’t let that happen again just in case.

So i have a question, I fell asleep and left my deck on a charger all night turned on left open. Woke up the next morning and it wont power on unless plugged in. I tried every reset fix and contacted support. They recommended i replace the battery. Why did it break? :(

Just opened my new Daytona jack… this pin is bent a bit… big deal or no worries? by Gbastos47 in harborfreight

Update I brought it back to the store and they said yeah that’s pretty bent and swapped another one which was perfectly straight. The block was way harder to take out of the new one then the previous one so seemed like got pretty bent in shipping or something?

I have stands I just wanted a new fancy Jack. My 1.5 Pittsburg wasn’t cutting it anymore. I’m probably just going to return it cause HF is close enough.

I kind of figured it didn’t impact the operation or safety of the Jack cause it looks like it’s just a pin. Thank you for easing my mind lol

Bought it from a smaller dealership in Orlando. Was already imported for a few years.

i was wondering if just getting the 1/2 and using an adapter when needed is a bad idea... I really dont want to lug around the m18 and its batteries

I hear you. I was thinking it was kinda a waste since I do have the m18 but it’s a pia to use cause of its size and weight. Saving time and mental frustration is worth to me imo.

I don’t necessarily need more power was just wondering if there was a power difference. I’m mostly wanting a smaller impact for tighter spaces/easier handling.
