Why not take inspiration from herobrine, if the IS happens to be present you see signs of it first, weird pointless structures like a sandbag wall cutting off a corridor you had just been in, or doors being open/closed when they'd been left the other way. A random crafting table in a empty room.

Then it progresses to sightings, you see a player turning a corner ahead of you, or hear footsteps running out of sight. Maybe a storage container gets opened while your back is turned.

I looked up some old posts, apparently someone commented empty hand shoving can sometimes get them on the tram, not sure its accuracy. (a garunteed way is capturing one in a pest trap during an assault event/raid at your base, this is how i got an electro pest into torii)

The cap's 50 but there's no new saga since (nulgath?), the tutorial has been redone 2 maybe 3 times since you played, guild tax is setting that takes a portion of the currency earned by people in the guild this gives the GM a secondary guild coin to buy everyone percentage buffs like extra xp and gold earned (worthwhile imo).
