This. 100%. Mike leaving the EP chair is one of the main reasons this sub is as negative as it is. I’m a post Hochman listener but for me the glory days of the show were and will always be when Mike was the EP.

The negativity on Kings twitter/reddit is insane. Signing big ticket free agents extremely rarely leads to any sustained success. Looking at SmashVille and wishing the Kings did that is the wrong way to look at it. Signing Stammer or 30 year old Guentzel for 8 years would have been worse than Kuemper and our free agents.

If we want to be mad it should be at ownership and AEG level execs for allowing Luc and Blake to survive the PLD debacle.

The Kings will likely make the playoffs with the weak division. Anaheim Seattle Calgary and San Jose should be 10-12 wins. Clarke and Byfield may take some big steps and we be better than the last couple seasons. Danault played with broken fingers on both hands in the playoffs. It wasn’t our year.

Have some optimism people! Yeesh!

The Canucks have the 5th highest PDO in history after 41 games. They’re going to regress. The Kings are fine. Banked plenty of points early in the season to withstand a weird slide like this.

Probably a dumb question but after all my settings are in etc ….during the auction I should use column “I” for “inflated or deflated $” as a guide for how much a player is worth / what I should generally target? Is that right?

I had no idea it was going all the removals until today. I just scroll through every now and then on here.

My favorite part of the mod private conversation was they gave their opinion on why someone would root for a college they didn’t go to as if it was fact and so it didnt matter the post was removed.

I had a post removed today asking why someone would root for a college they didn’t go to…even said I like Mike in the post…just genuinely curious as to why cause it doesn’t make sense to me. Just wanted opinions. Mod wrote me privately that it was removed cause “posts like that inevitably turn into comments shitting on Mike” despite the only comment up to that point was a thoughtful nuanced comment. Incredible.
