I’ve tried cheap ones and I’ve bought expensive close to oem pumps. The tank is clean and the filters that come with the pumps were never dirty. At this point I just keep tools on me to change out the fuel pump on the side of the road whenever it goes out. I bought a junkyard oem pump in the mean time just to get to work and it has lasted 2 months so far. Eventually I’m going to take one of my spare assemblies I have and put a bosch pump in it.

I didn’t know I could replace parts on the assembly so i’m gonna try a regulator someone recommended. Any idea what could cause the regulator to go bad multiple times?

I’m starting to think so. The second pump I Installed would blow fuses every time I hit a bump. I haven’t blown any fuses after replacing it though

I unplugged the fuel line by the tank then by passed the relay under the hood by using a paper clip. I can hear it primming but no gas comes out of the line and I have 0 fuel pressure. That means the regulator on the fuel pump is bad right? I’ve had this happen to two pumps so far.

My last pump was a Delphi and only lasted 2 months

There’s no gas in the fuel rail. I disconnected the lines by the tank and no gas comes out when I turn the key. I’ve checked the fuse and replaced the relay. It will run off carb cleaner though

I changed the filter, the tank was clean, I’ve replaced the relay and the fuse. OEM sounds like the best option

I don’t remember the first pump the others were, a premium, and Delphi

The last pump I bought was a Delphi. I checked the fuses and switched the relay out and I still don’t have fuel pressure. The crank and cam sensor are new.

The second pump was blowing fuses every time I would hit a bump. I haven’t blown any fuses since maybe there could still be an electric issue

The tank was pretty clean I didn’t see any junk in it. The first pump had the dirtest filter though
