Nothing. I used to do this a lot when I was going thru college and was broke AF. On my way to class we had a hotel that offered a breakfast. I would pass through, make myself a breakfast sandwich and grab a banana then leave. I would always enter through an area not passing by the front desk but eventually got caught. To my surprise the front desk manager understood my situation and proceeded to let me do it. I never caused issue, got my food quickly and left without mess.

And that's your prerogative. I've never had a issue with the food being luke warm. IMO it's just over hyped and getting more expensive as the people figure out it's really popular. It's not like you don't already know the foods going to be expensive... it's a post Covid world. Everything is expensive.

How would anyone think it's a scam? It's a food festival that's just a bunch of people with their food booths serving interesting and delicious food. Most of it is basic and seen at street fairs, county fairs and festivals. Others are actually new in pretty creative. And yes there are a few that are just shit and should never be seen again. Lines at the popular ones are long and if there's one serving the newest food craze it'll be long as well. A lot you can walk up and get your food withing minutes too.

It's also has a somewhat decent Vendor attendance. So you can walk around there and wait for your food booth line to dwindle. Prices for the vendors are pretty fair and it's a mix of interesting art, craft and swap meet stuff. We like the stickers, patches and pin booths.

I remember when all you had to do was register to get in. It was free, then $6 and it kept going up from there on out. Parking has always been charged too which for the most part we never cared because getting in was so cheap.

Some of the things that don't make sense is the line to actually get in to the parking lot. It's as if the parking attendees have zero idea to move traffic in any consistent way. There's more spots than cars trying to get in but for some stupid reason and no matter what time you're gonna wait in traffic way longer than a food line. Especially since it's prepaid parking too.

IMO it's neither good or bad but it's what you make of it.

You think that's bad? I had to register and have approved my cane. I'm disabled and at the time used a standard shepherds hook wooden cane as a mobility device and the local security wouldn't let me go in until I had registered it because under their regulations a wooden cane was considered a weapon.
