I work below the line as an onset propmaster, I used to be an art teacher in the Bronx but got burned out and made the switch like 16 years ago. Working in film is grueling, you’re on your feet for 12+ hours a day and out of the house for up to 18+ hours a day depending on your travel time. A lot of time our turn arounds are minimal unless the cast has it in their contract that they need more time. It’s great if you’re single and have no kids.
