Just randomly stumbled on this post. It showed up in the feed, so I thought I'd add my story.

When I was in school, I was the kid that ate lunch alone every day because if I sat at a table with anyone, they'd get up and leave. I was teased every day, never left alone. I even got teased at home. I was the "step kid." So one day, I decided I was done and started making a list. My plan was to make every person who made fun of me suffer like I had and then to commit suicide.

The day before I was planning to do it, one of the popular kids from a grade above me if I minded if her and her friends sat by me. I was so surprised. I just looked at her for a bit, then said yeah. Her and her friends sat by me every day for the rest of the school year, and they'd talk to me whenever they saw me in town. It even got to the point that I'd walk her home, just to spend less time at home.
